TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
Its meant to be good for cleaning tarnished silver, if you boil it and put in some aluminium foil. What is it? Is it dangerous?Use baking soda, which is sodium bicarbonate. I've done this before and it works.

Lemonade
Use baking soda, which is sodium bicarbonate. I've done this before and it works.Ah. I did wonder if they were the same. I will try that later today. Thanks! In other news, I don't have dandruff any more, so I'm ready to start walking round town in a denim shirt with a jersey tied round my shoulders, running my fingers through my hair at every opportunity and laughing and flirting and having so much fun like only people without dandruff can. Skubbs
Interesting... I'll investigate. The pharmacist gave me a sulphur-based dandruff treatment that I have to use twice a week. As well as making my hair smell like seaweed and rotten eggs, it also reacted with my silver necklace and turned it black. Chemicals eh? Great bunch of lads. Get a tube of the really cheap, white toothpaste from your local supermarket - their own brand stuff is good, and cover your necklace in that, giving it a good scrub with an old toothbrush. It's good for old sliver tableware etc too.Don't get the toothpaste with the coloured stripes etc... James Broonbreed
Cola works a treat on copper & brass too, not sure about silver...

KSJ81
Has anyone ever used a freeview signal booster? I Just put a TV in the family room but the digital signal keeps dropping out and it doesn't pick up many channels. I installed the aerial myself as the builder only ran the cable up to the loft from all the TV points. Any other suggestions on how to improve the problem would be great. I have read up on interweb but prefer first hand experiences TaKev

Something like this - http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/outdoor-tv-aerial-with-built-in-amplifier-a65fa This site is good for getting the co-ordinates for the best transmitter to point towards - http://www.wolfbane.com/cgi-bin/tvd.exe
