Although I doubt people will stop shopping online as it is more convenient to shop online.

Example - When ordering Chinese food even though you can save £2.50 delivery charge by collecting in the place people will get it delivered due to it being more convenient.

The worry now is what if the deal falls through administrators are always in a hurry to shut up shop so if the deal falls through then it is game over.

The ones in Ireland are all closed already. Irish law says you can't trade when you're in receivership, which is silly really. I hope they manage to save them, HMV in Ireland is far and away the cheapest places for games, way cheaper than Tesco or any of the specialist games stores, new games can be up to 10-15 Euros cheaper in HMV. They have an epic second hand section as well, dirt cheap. It's where I get all my games from.

Isn't there some sort of "siege" happening in the Ireland branches. What will this mean for Fopp ?

I love the idea of this but the sad truth is that there's more music out there that I want than I can reasonably afford, so I do download quite a bit of it. I realise the hypocrisy - there's tons of clothes and stuff I want as well, but I don't steal those, I just accept I can't afford them - but I do it anyway and I don't really feel that bad about it. Though strangely I refuse to download films. I always pay for films.

Lucky, can you explain why you have a different attitude towards downloading films and music? Seems a bit odd to me.

It's difficult to explain. I get so much enjoyment from a film that it just seems wrong to steal it. A good movie can make me smile, laugh, cry, feel fulfilled, inspired, charmed, introduce me to characters that I can fall in love with, take me on a journey and have me totally captivated. For me, that's worth paying for. Sad as I am to admit it, it's so rare that I get that from music these days. Most of the albums I buy or download now I'll probably listen to about half of then get bored of and never put it on again. Whether that's because having thousands of albums at my fingertips now means that I can just change an album that doesn't grab me straight away instead of perservering with it like I would have done when I was younger and had just spent 15 quid on it, or whether it's just that I've fallen out of love with music a bit I don't really know.

The picture business, Lucky Rathen, is the most corrupt and profit-driven of them all. If anything, it is the industry you should feel the least guilty about pilfering.

Woah, woah, woaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Sweeping statement of the year (so far). They (film and music) are arguably as corrupt as each other at corporate level but in terms of artistic integrity your average film maker and musician are both pretty credible and neither deserves to have their efforts stolen by people too tight to open their wallets or save some money so they can buy at a later date.
