    Lames to Fame

I saw Russell Howard in the security queue at Belfast airport 3 weeks ago. I almost said hello to him.

  3. I know a guy who is potentially selling his mk1 escort if anyone is interested? I don't know much about it other than its a solid two door rolling shell and he has a 2 litre pinto or a zetec engine available.
  4. Everyone's experience is different i guess and yes im sure there is incompetence in management but you're right, probably better in another thread. Im keen to hear about alternative political systems though. I think Brand is off his nut if he thinks we'll all jump on board with him but what are the feasible alternatives which are more to the right?
  5. I'd like to see these models. Im not saying they don't exist, rather i haven't heard of them/studied them in detail.
  6. Climbing the ladder in the oil industry isn't about "sucking up" to people, the pressures that exist in managerial positions are pretty immense and if you can't do the job then you don't get the job in my experience. If you manage to make it to the top then you deserve the rewards imho. If you don't like the way your company treats you then why not leave? If the career you're in doesn't have the potential financial reward then why not re-train? We live in one of the most buoyant employment markets and i imagine you're at the age where changing your career is straight forward. Quit whining and do something about it!
  7. Tree left? Tree right? What's he on?? There are trees everywhere!
  8. Where do I send my fee for this idea? I'll accept payment I'm beer and/or porn FYI
  9. I fucking love how happy he is in this photo. Chris Brown has no idea he's partying with a legend.
  10. You and I are going to fall out, Mr Jack...
  11. Anything at all, and i mean ANYTHING written on an old-fashioned post card like the one below. Get. To. Fuck.

    GTA V

I wasn't going to buy GTA5, mostly due to the reasons others have mentioned in this thread (maps too large etc) but, given the reviews, i get the impression it's revolutionary. I will thus be buying it and no doubt throwing the next 6 months of my life away. Ho hum. Where's the best place, price-wise, folks have got a copy from?
  13. I've recently decided that an MR2 turbo will be my next purchase once i manage to finish and shift my MG Midget. I used to have the mk2 2.0 GT (non-turbo) and, whilst it was hardly the fastest car on the road, the driving position and styling of it gave me an automotive chubby. HateEvent - i'll be sure you pick your brains on Jap car performance mods as im a bit of a novice in this field. If i get a stock car then the first thing i'll do is enhance the breathing (induction kit and better exhaust system) and then maybe look to get the head gas ported. My brother had a turbo a while ago and the big-end bearing went. It looks as though this is a common problem so i might fortify this area as well. Maybe a bigger intercooler and some electronic gadgets would be in order?
  14. Exactly this. Sky anytime+ is an added bonus over what i was receiving with my non-HD box. To me it feels free. How is the image quality with BT Vision? I had it about 5 years ago and though the online archives were great; the only problem was that i could never get a decent enough picture (maybe it was my poor broadband speed) and then the box packed in after a year.
  15. I've just managed to get Sky anytime+ on the go last night and it would appear to be pretty average. The box set collection is weak compared with Netflix but on the other hand it's free so im minded to have both of them for a couple of months and then maybe axe Netflix as per Teabags' advice. Who know choosing my home entertainment package would cause such stress??
  16. If you need a guitarist to help you with those recordings then let me know
  17. Mr Bigsby, are you still doing the Dusty Valentino thing? Im proper addicted to it - thank god this link still works http://www.reverbnation.com/artist/song_details/4000950?play_now=true
  18. That's my only concern i guess. There seems to be a heap of stuff on Netflix but if they're not updating content frequently then it might become redundant. There are only so many Louis Theroux Weird Weekends you can watch after all...
  19. I've gone for Netflix in the end and spent my entire weekend watching Californication - a wonderful series with plenty of boobies to look at. Next step is to get myself a proxy for the US shows, it'll help when im travelling as well, if i have to spend one more evening in an Italian hotel room with no english speaking tv i'll breakdown.

    Pet Hates!

I know a guy who sells patch leads if that helps? Their not stereo and their pretty bad and i don't actually know him but thought i'd mention it anyway. He doesn't have a phone if you want to call him.
