Chris
McGinty's? Or is that too far up that end of town.
Adam Easy Wishes
There are a couple of places out the top end - Dutch Mill? Is Simpsons still a thing? I know there was talk of it being taken over/refurbished?
Chris
Dutch Mill is a good shout. Dizzy's out that way as well.
Teabags
Struggling to think of a city centre pub that's not a chain which is big enough and does food.Same here. Really don't want to go to some Belhaven pub or soemthing. McGinty's? Or is that too far up that end of town.Would prefer it a bit closer, as we're going to Six Degrees before then CASC after.Howie's is probably best shout if we get stuck. The Milner
Filling station would probably do the job.
Chris
Enigma does pretty good food in the Academy. Was surprised when we went there for a work's do.
Adam Easy Wishes
There's that place called the Gas Lamp on Market Street - I cannot vouch for the quality recently (haven't eaten there since it was probably called something else), but it's a big place and would easily accommodate eleven, I'm sure. Does the Douglas Hotel still have that Maggie's Bistro place? Maybe there? Again, not eaten there for a while but recall the times I did it was decent enough pub food. James Broonbreed
Carmelite and Sopranos are nearby Casc but might struggle to do 11. Does the Moorings still do toasties?
Adam Easy Wishes
Actually, were you not raving about the Lucky Boat or whatever it's called? I'm sure he'd be able to seat eleven!
Moon Moon
The howff is a really nice place reasonably priced too
Teabags
There's that place called the Gas Lamp on Market StreetOnly place I've ever walked out of without paying. Diabolically bad. Mind you that was about 3 years ago.

Eupraxia
Might be a touch late, but the food in Musa used to be excellent.
Alkaline
Might be a touch late, but the food in Musa used to be excellent. Still is but quite pricey.
Teabags
I did think Musa but high prices and small portions were the put off. Guys wanted "good pub with food". Thanks for all the suggestions though! Surprised illicit still are managing 11 folk at short notice to be honest but we had all the others on the list in case they hadn't. Lemonade
I keep seeing this image on Facebook. I've been wondering what it comes from, then tonight by sheer coincidence I was driving home from work and "Safety Dance" by Men At Work came on, and it's from that. So my question is, why is the Safety Dance relevant in 2014? Has it been in a Glee episode or something?
James Broonbreed
The Maternal Bum Bond Connexion did a cover version circa 2008. People are probably still in awe of what they witnessed and are mourning the bands demise in the only way they know how.

That doesn explain why I've seen the image so much in the last week. Also I got the band name wrong.

James Broonbreed
Does anyone know what the crack is about these 38degrees online petitions? Is it just some shite people can make up themselves or are they reasonably bona fide?
Skubbs
Is there a petition to get rid of the ginger guy who attemps to play the bagpipies on Union Street? If so, please direct me to it and I'll sign... He seems to be getting worse.
Soda Jerk
You can hear him from a few streets away too. He's not like ordinary buskers, where you hear a couple of bars and then they are inaudible. When the traffic's not so heavy you can hear him from any point on Union Terrace. He is garbage.
