Something I learned today

waltz

Recommended Posts

Basically everyone knows that palindromes are words or phrases that read the same backwards as they do forwards: "mum", "dad", "racecar".

But today I learned that a semordnilap is a word or phrase that reads both forwards and legitimately backwards: "desserts/stressed", "parts/strap".

The COOL PART is that "semordnilap" is a semordnilap itself. With "palindromes".

The spammers are taunting me. I lived in Leeds and wanted an ex-display kitchen unit but there were none, I lived in Newcastle and wanted an ex-display kitchen unit but there were none. Now I could have either but I live in Aberdeen so they're no longer what I want.

This is torture.

I gather that you haven't seen the following ad then - http://www.aberdeen-music.com/topic/54841-cheap-kitchen-units-for-sale-scotland/?p=798255
