TelecasterSam
Hmmm!Just been told about something called a "Chicken Parmo"Parmo - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaAnyone know if anywhere round here sells it, or do I need to organise a trip to Middlesborough?er...I'm sure it probably tastes nice......but it looks disgusting (sorry) ..... and what an artery clogger....The stovies don't look THAT good either... LOL
pogofish
I know, but they hit the spot! My gran's old stovies recipe is much nicer but it was a bit much work for all of a sudden - I should have planned earlier!
DJ Jo-D
Went to the opening of the All-Stars Sarnie shop on Diamond street and it's sooo fine, sampled panini (chicken & bacon). The shop if lovely looks like a nice place to sit and chilli with a coffee n sarnie, altho the seating area will not be avail till next month! Chris
For those that can't figure out what Dave just posted, it's a leg of lamb with anchovies, garlic and rosemary slow cooked for an afternoon. It's been making me hungry ever since you posted it on flickr.

Chris
That looks absolutely delicious - Not had lamb for ages! Me neither, so I went and bought a small single portion bit of loin from the butcher on the way home. It was wrapped and stuffed with sweet chilli and herbs. Pretty good, but it wasn't a whole leg slow cooked with anchovies, garlic and rosemary.
pogofish
I usually get given a leg of lamb whenever one or other of my relations from the Western Isles comes to visit - Fresh off the croft, totally natural Machair & seashore-fed. Utterly splendid meat!
framheim
Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.60 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/4.0.10406/608; U; en) Presto/2.2.0)I had never cooked lamb before that and was a bit nervous about it but it came out good. Dead easy too though it wasn't cheap. Worth it though and does a few meals. i still think beef and venison are better but i'd cook this again. Lemonade
I got really sick after eating lamb last year, and now every time I taste it it reminds me of vomiting. I think I'm off lamb for a while.

TelecasterSam
I must say, today was the first time I'd visited "Bistro Verde" (for lunch)Food and service was f*cking excellent, and quite resonably pricedMy only gripe was that the tables are too low... (at least for my comfort)but I would recommend it wholeheartedly, Ace!
Stichman
Yup, if you pack them firmly & treat them gently when cooking, you probably won't even need the egg/oil as a binder. It may sound gross but the results are well worth it! I find a wee egg does the trick to stick them together nicely. Also, if you're a cheap bastard like me you can add breadcrumbs or finely crushed crackers to bulk them out a bit and make it all go further. Nev
You should have mash with that instead of pasta. Pasta and sausages... Sausage and bacon chopped up into small chunks, mixed through pasta and with a tomato sauce is ace!
