When I was a kid, my mum used to write out a cheque at the checkouts when doing the weekly shop. Imagine if someone did that today? Chip and pin takes long enough. As do dickheads fumbling with change. My department at work only takes cheques with certain applications. People get mad that we are financial dinosaurs. And it's true. We totally are.
