stuartmaxwell
Christ, have they done Palmerston up recently? Dumfries is pretty boring itself.nah it hasnt, still a decent ground from what I have heard Big Gerry came on loan to us this season from Queens and has generally been pretty good (apart from Saturday)
RossP
Did this happen then? I don't "take" the NOTW.Never happened in the end, but the rumour mill has been in overdrive to the extent that Brewster and a certain player will be getting pelters from opposition fans for quite a while. Already suggestions that he'll step down and John Robertson/Duncan Shearer will be taking over...I doubt the papers will be silent for much longer either. Watch this space!!Maxi, I've heard Davie Bingham mentioned for the Montrose job up here. Just a rumour mind, but he's an intelligent bloke who knows how to play the game. RossP
If you go on Pie and Bovril (taking a lot of the nonsense out of the equation), there's some nuggets of truth. Pretty sure the thread is just entitled "Brewster" and was only closed down yesterday; so should still be able to read.
Camie
Had a look today as well and never noticed the thread but found it. If true that would be a field day with the papers, but you know that it will turn ugly and he'd get humped(no pun intented) by the tabloids. Jeanette
Wasn't sure if it was a penalty or not, too busy quaffing free booze in the corporate box to care. Did you enjoy your prawn sandwiches?! Pretty sure the thread is just entitled "Brewster" and was only closed down yesterday; so should still be able to read. It's still readable. The Red Tops are a waste of paper and ink. If that story, whether or not true, is all they can think about printing then really I think we should all become journalists. Appears to be easy money. What difference should the rumour make to his ability to manage ICT?! It's all a bit ridiculous.
RossP
What difference should the rumour make to his ability to manage ICT?! It's all a bit ridiculous. It shouldn't, and I doubt any real ICT fans would want him out as a result. To be honest most fans still want him out for all the dross performances this season; i'm in the minority of fans who thinks he's doing a decent job. However, if certain knuckledraggers are still getting their jollies from singing all this sectarian pish I doubt they'll see the right to respect Brewster's privacy. These are still rumours at this stage I may add. Which is all people need I suppose for it to be "truth" ala Boyd/Ferguson coke stories, Stuart Cummings and 15 year old girl (?), Pearson punching Strachan story, and something similar involving Josh Walker? Nev
and Jim Weir has been sacked from the Montrose JobThe Courier: Taking you to the heart of sport in Tayside and FifeThe whole thing is a fucking joke, board had knives for him from early doors....Iain Stewart... RossP
I dare say Stewarty has too much attitude for Montrose. By the sounds of things their board want things done a certain way; I doubt Iain would be up for that.
Nev
You could well be right, but it's a funny old game. The dream team of Stoo, Heggy, Gibby and JB reunited would be ace!
stuartmaxwell
doubt stewart will be the right man for kenny black, he wants a yes man.think stewart would have been a decent candidate. some of the suggestion son p & b are hillarious, jim fucking moffat! arf! stuartmaxwell
Fucking hell, just had a look at your squad. Got enough Ex-Dundee Utd players?its a common thing that ex dundee / dundee utd / aberdeen etc end up playing for the angus teams as many of them live in this neck of the woods and it suits with part time football (training twice per week and match at weekend) and work commitments. RossP
Scotland are playing Argentina at Hampden on Wed Nov 19th, with ticket prices the same as the Norway game (25-35) It is a school night though... but i'll work around that somehow. Soda Jerk
The Champions League is ace. United's Rafael looks like a bright spark, although right back might not be his natural born position as he was more of an attacking midfielder last night. Pulled off some great shots and runs, but was caught out of position alot and his tackling was sloppy. United are down a few central midfielders due to injury, so stick that kid in the middle. He'll run with it and never stop. Although with Carrick and Scholes out and Hargreaves getting injured everytime he ties the laces on his boots, there's no ball retention in the midfield.... John O'Shea is shit!At least Celtic lost. The Champions League acts as a nice reminder that neither of the old firm sides are really any good. Jeanette
Although it is amusing that Celtic are not having the most fabulous Champ League experience. Which is nice because I am totally jealous... I kinda wish they would have an extended run... to put pressure on their league form.
Soda Jerk
Well, if they come third in the group, which they really should do at the very least, they'll extend their campaign in the UEFA.Gordon Strachan doesn't strike me as the type to piss and moan about playing too many games though, so maybe they could keep up their league form too. Jeanette
Hmmm. Perhaps. But one can hope! They stumbled at the last hurdle when they got to the UEFA Cup final, so who's to say it won't happen again. Anyway, I should be more positive that Rangers would be able to win the league without Celtic slipping up! Lol.
Lemonade
Newcastle lost their first 3 games in the Champions League a few years ago and still went through, so anything is possible. Beat Man U at home, beat Valencia at home and beat Aalborg away and they're through.
Soda Jerk
Aalborg were kept quiet last night by United posession, but the attacking oppertunities they had were dangerous. I reckon Aalborg have more than enough of a chance of twatting Celtic at home.Villareal could go either way but I can't see Celtic even scoring against a full strength United. Adam Easy Wishes
Scotland squad announced.David Weir recalled, along with surprises Chris Iwelumo (although been brilliant for Wolves this year...really international quality..?!), and Jamie McAllister. Yes, that's right, JAMIE McALLISTER.
Christy
I like Iwelumo as a player, he's got good presence and an eye for goal. The real problem is that he's on a 3game suspension just now, meaning that by the time the Norway game comes around, he won't have kicked a competitive ball in nearly a month. Hmmmm, not ideal preparation for making your debut.Jamie McAllister was ding at Pittodrie but appears to be a different proposition these days. I can't see him dislodging Naysmith, but we're seriously short of left-back cover.Love from Christy
Soda Jerk
Chris Iwelumo (although been brilliant for Wolves this year...really international quality..?!)I'd say so. Afterall, The top half of the Coca-Cola Championship is probably on a level pegging with the SPL in terms of quality.
