Lemonade
Totally. Yogi has recommened me some awesome music over the years. Start a conversation with "Hey man, what's this CD that's playing?" and he'll not only recommend that but a ton of bands you've never heard of that sound like them! Jaaakkkeee
Does Dallas Green work in One Up?
Chris
Really, I think that's their favourite thing to do. When I used to shop in One Up regularly most of that would be buying stuff the staff recommended to me or forced me to listen to while I was stood at the counter. Lemonade
The guy in the Cavern is really good for that too. You go up with a few records and he's like "hey, if you like THAT band, take a listen to THIS!" and before you know it you've spent 2 hours listening to records with him and spent 80 quid. Stroopy121
I think they got that idea from Amazon, the way they recomend similar products based on what you've bought is genius!xx
Soda Jerk
Are the folk in One Up likely to recommend something based on what they really genuinely like, or what they have available in stock? I can't imagine they'd say "Oh you'd love this band, but we don't have anything in. Go buy it on Amazon 1p"
paime
Im considering exchanging my Japanese Tele for a semi-acoustic, does anyone have any recommendations for where i should start looking? A price range of £400 - £500 would be ideal.

Plus it has single coils. You can pretend to be in the Beatles as well!

Sounds pretty good with some gain as well. I want one now.
paime
I haven't been in to the new guitar place in the Academy, does it have a good semi-acoustic stock? I'd much rather by local than over tinterweb.
Flights
I don't think there is any Epiphones (I may be incorrect). there are some Gretsch Semi's though.

Soda Jerk
Are you laughing at the improper use of an apostrophe to indicate plural? Or at the unintended dick joke?
HateEvent
R&B have Epiphone Semi-Acoustics in stock. I'm not sure all of which are left at the moment, though I think there is both a Casino (the Lennon inspired model) and a Lucille. I think there was a worn Dot too. Others are obviously available.
