I'm nothing like the guy in that video I posted. i wish I was, but my bass is just too heavy. It's seen the floor a couple of times but I mean, I've seen tiny guitars hit the floor with a thump and work right after. I think it's the lead. i have no idea why we're even still discussing it. The VAST majority of leads fail a the point where it meets the plug because that's where all the movement is. Saves you a fortune in new leads. I've only ever had two leads go bad on me and funnily enough they were both Planet Waves ones. One went microphonic and the hot wire broke somewhere on the other. Load of crap, will never use again.
