RossP
Starship Troopers on BBC1Forgot how awesome it was! The sequels were utter dirge unfortunately...
TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
I saw Drag me to Hell the other night. Very enjoyable, in the horror way that Sam Raimi is so good at doing i.e. comic gore and violence every 30 seconds. Top tip though, don't precariously hang an anvil in yr shed with poor quality rope. Top tip though, don't precariously hang an anvil in yr shed with poor quality rope.I went to see it on Friday night. It wasn't what I expected - I was expecting full blown horror... so the comedy aspect surprised me. I went to see it not having a clue what it was about. It was rather good and the humour was a nice break inbetween all the jumpy bits. Watch out for the stapler!!! Scootray
Watched American Beauty the other night. Not seen it since I was in my early teens I think, forgotten what a good film it is!

Lemonade
I Know Who Killed Me - starring a haggard looking Lindsay Lohan. It's a straight to DVD thriller about a girl who gets abducted by a mental who amputates parts of her body. Then when she gets rescued she claims to be a completely different person with no memory of her life before the abduction. It's pertty good actually, the plot kind of plods along nicely with a couple of twists and turns, there's enough blood to keep horror fans happy and a whodunnit aspect that keeps you guessing till the end.PlussesLindsay Lohan, despite all the tabloid headlines, is actually a fine actress and carries the film pretty well. It's well shot and filmed, with interesting use of colour. The plot is genuinely interesting.Minuses:A few plot holes. Lohan is sprightly and active despite having had a hand and a foot amputated like a week before, and walks and runs unaided. Her artificial hand appears to work better than a real hand. The final act of the film gets a bit corny on more than one occasion.Although the "Whodunnit" aspect is good and keeps you guessing, they don't introduce enough male characters to make you suspect someone else, and when they do unmask the killer at the end, you never find out why he did it.Even after watching the film, the title still doesn't make sense. She even says the line in the film, and it doesn't make sense. It got slagged to fuck in the reviews (and 8 Golden Raspberries) but mainly IMO because it stars Lindsay Lohan and it's very fashionable in Hollywood to slag off Lindsay Lohan. If you ignore the dirt sheets and just watch the film it's actually not that bad, it's not brilliant by any stretch, but it's certainly not bad.Thumbs up. Basically it will hinge on whether you find Ricky Gervais at all amusing. I do but he can verge on irritating and overly arrogant at times, however I thought he was pretty good in this. And watching the extras, he still messes up numerous takes by giggling even on big Hollywood films....

Nev
Saw 12 Rounds in the cinema last night 6 maybe 7/10overall i enjoyed the film, but really couldn't help but fascinate over the takeaway pizza hut's we had planned to get afterwards and the film although a ridiculous action film from the start, it wasn't like Die Hard where you are so caught up in the awesomeness you forget just how far fetched and lame it really is. Although Die Hard, is not lame. i love Die Hard.anyone else seen it yet? 12 Rounds that is.I've just seen it, and it was shit. But then, it's a Renny Harlin film starring a wrestler. The clues were there.
Diesel
I've just seen it, and it was shit. But then, it's a Renny Harlin film starring a wrestler. The clues were there.Ed Wood was a more talented director that Renny Harlin. ALL his movies are shit. He did get to put it into Geena Davis, so I guess that's a positive. Diesel
Finally got to see Slumdog Millionaire last night.I felt a bit cheated......not at the movie, which was terrific, but at the DVD box which proclaimed "The Ultimate Feel-Good Movie!!!!!"I didn't feel particularly good for most of the fillum, in fact it was quite sad and at times horrifying. The cast was superb and the actors for all three generations of the kids were just brilliant.Just how stunningly beautiful is Freida Pinto? Paulscoconutass
American Pie 2: can sum it up in one word, nostalgia! Pretty funny and enjoyable film that most folk can relate to and can hold itself against most of the pish being rleased these days - made even better by the gratuitous spattering of ber-hot babes. The soundtrack is absolutely top-notch, although the CD only has about 1/3 the total songs from the film. Unfortunately the later installments of the franchise are more than gash!7/
Lemonade
The Wedding had it's moments - everything after that was toiletWedding was pretty much ass as well. A few funny bits, like Stifler eating the dog turd, but I remember being hugely disappointed when I saw it. Stifler was the biggset problem, he was always a bit of an obnoxious asshole in the first 2 but at least he was likeable and funny, in the third one they totally changed his personality and made him a total cock.Thankfully I've avoided the other 3 sequels so far... Class jumpy suspense, coupled with some really funny moments. If I was to say anything negative I would say a tad bit too predictable but maybe it was intended that way for the comedy. Great ending! One question I think the director was asking....How many gross things can we get inside this girls mouth!....
Monster Zero
Transporter 3. Not as stoopid as 2 but not as good as the first one (I am aware that appreciation of the first one is down to individual preference - I kind of like Jason Statham, even if his films can be a bit shady they are also good escapist fun for the main part). Am I the only person that just doesn't fancy 'Slumdog Millionaire' at all?
delboy
slumdog millionaire - it was good but not as good as what i expected given all the hype.righteous kill - anything with both de niro and pacino in is going to be good, a nice twist in the tale as well.quantum of solace - already seen it at the cinema but enjoyed watching it again, don't think its as good as casino royale.up the junction - classic british film from 1968 with a young dennis waterman and maureen lipman. Not a fan of Stratham, but seen 1 & 2, got it so that I can see Robert Knepper in a different role (he should be in loads more movies) might take a peek sometime soonquantum of solace - already seen it at the cinema but enjoyed watching it again, don't think its as good as casino royale..I agree, preferred casino royale, Daniel Craig is a brill bond all the right qualities (from a girls perspective anyway)
Teabags
In saying that, there are full frontal nude photos of her on the web that her ex-boyfriend took. So she does actually have genitals. The Milner
I agree, preferred casino royale, Daniel Craig is a brill bond all the right qualities (from a girls perspective anyway)i hate daniel craig as bond, i dont think he suits the role near as well as people before him, although for me Quantum of Solace was closer to the bond i enjoy, Casino Royal was just a bit rubbish i thought.
