Pierre Von Mondragon
Forgot to mention the new Futurama film-length, 'Bender's Game', starts patchy (apart from the Giant Screen start credits bit), but gets pretty good, in a geekathon way. Jim Stax
Southland Tales on Sky. Erm, well, guff but I stuck it out. I wanted so much to like it but sadly its pretentious twaddle.Michael Clayton is a very good atmospheric movie with a great soundtrack. Thought it was top! black_matter
Adulthood. Having not seen kidulthood it was just a bunch of folk screaming "SUP BLAD" and fighting.Looked like a decent storyline but I shoulda really waited to see kidulthood first. Guest treader.
Haha. That film looks fucking dreadful. The name is straight out of a porn film as well."Ladies! Climb aboard the Meat Train. Next Stop: Your Vagina"
Alkaline
"Ladies! Climb about the Meat Train. Next Stop: Your Vagina"I'm not sure i'd be happy with ladies climbing "about" my meat train. Aboard yes, about no

RossP
Hackers is starting on channel 5 just now, haven't seen it for years!! How weird will all the dated technology appear I wonder...?Watched Mr & Mrs Smith for a bit of lighthearted midweek relief the other night, which was quite good. Jolie is absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous at various points in the film EDIT: Angelina Jolie also looking fantastic in Hackers...
Guest treader.
I saw Home Alone 3 the other day. I didnt realise Scarlett Johannson was in it, when she was like 14 or something. Cool.
Bigsby
Watched Taken with Liam Neeson the other night. Excellent stuff, basically involves Neeson heading round Paris booting fuck out of immigrant bad guys.Good, taught action thriller, best part was it only lasted 90mins, films are too long these days IMO. DJ Jo-D
I saw the end to silent hill while I tried to wait up to watch Big trouble in Little China....class film which looks absolutely rediculous now...but back when first released...ACE!....still worth a watch ha ha
Monster Zero
Donkey Punch - totally unoriginal plot-wise and not that great to be honest. Sex scene verging on porn. The Pit and the Pendulum - 60's Vincent Price movie so a bit dated but still quite good.Be Kind Rewind - Undecided, it was OK but nothing special. I was actually a bit tired when I watched it and dozed off towards the end, need to revisit that bit.
Sue Denim..
Just watched 'The Clone Wars'. For a Star Wars fan like myself I thought it was brilliant. Baby Jabba rocks.
Afro Droid
Just watched 'The Clone Wars'. For a Star Wars fan like myself I thought it was brilliant. Baby Jabba rocks.Thank the Force, I thought I was the only one!The following TV series is pretty good too judging by the first episoide. Only thing that bugs my is the dumb "dramatic" voice-over at the start of every episode. The battle droids are a bit annoying too ('Roger-Roger' etc); but overall it's great. Afro Droid
Watched A Scanner Darkly last night - pretty good.On tonight's menu is The Incredible Hulk, I imagine I'll like that to....Incidentally movie fans, don't bother with Blockbuster etc, the Central Library has an extensive selection of DVDs (takes a while for them to get new stuff though), for a mere 2 per DVD per week. The library's the fuckin' bomb!
Teabags
Watched Rounders on Sunday night after playing poker. Starts off promising, I like the poker, can see things turning sour then the end was a big huge fucking anti-climax. In fact it wasn't an anti-climax, there just was no real climax. At all. I can see where they tried to put it, but being a poker player, all I saw was a guy play a bog standard decent hand in a game of poker and win it.Ach well. DJ Jo-D
Watched last night dans la cinema...Scar in 3D!! whooooo, well actually made not really much difference at all apart from there was a slight blur on the screen with my 3D specs on (now and again). Not quite what I imagined a horror in 3D would be tho, I expected it to come bouncing out at me...I was of course being very silly, cause the screens miles away, only bit that actually looked good was the opening credits coming at ya....not quite the 3d motion cinema (LOL what was I thinking!) - The film itself was your usual slasher and had quite a bit of gore in it compared with jumpy/scary moments - some quite cringywprthy and unnecessary i.e. the ending! Also went to see Saw V after to which I dozed in an out of, but saw the mojority of the film.....seen it all before in the other films...in fact half of it was made up as being most of 4 from what I noticed.
