  1. I'm back from beyond to say that this, definitively, is a Screen 2 on BBC 2 film (not series) from 1995 (not 88-91 or whatever I said before) called Black Easter, starring Trevor "Eddie Shoestring" Eve, apart from that it is unfindable to watch, sadly.
  2. Just got a TC Ditto Looper, even my sense of timing can get something out of it, infinite layering for bespoke loopage, also last year I got a Mellowtone Mini Wolf Computer, and a Rouse Electronics Pink Crystal Fuzz (FuzzFace clone), need a tap tempo delay with expression pedal input now...
  3. You got the right guy, take it fae me.
  4. Can't believe I forgot to mention Faster Pussycat at the Barras, and Donington '87 & '88 (GnR)
  5. Motorhead in '83 Maiden in '84 on the World Slavery tour, and '86 at the Playhouse Celtic Frost, even if it was the 'Cold Lake' tour, '89 I think Recently, seeing Earth, and OM (not on the same night) If there was time travel, I'd go and see Sly & the Family Stone at Woodstock...
  6. Until it nukes your ringpiece, as it surely will. I'm liking Waitrose German Pils, made by Memminger of Bavaria, St. Mungos, and now Winter is a coming, it's nearly Laphroaig time. Also Guinness Foreign Extra
  7. Are you the Aberdeen Rock that used to promote The Venue in the 80s, Duncan Fitshisname? Man, The Escape Club was something else. If not, I doubt he'll hassle you about it, but you never know.
  8. What are they like? I was thinking of getting a Satanic fuzz Ritual fae them...
  9. Just finished Lampedusa's 'The Leopard', which was a nice little palate cleanser after finishing 'Gravity's Rainbow', and starting John Barth's 'The Sot-Weed Factor' which is in a pseudo-18th century stylee, as it were. Also the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers Complete Omnibus- awe inspiring greatness.
  10. The art studes nae as radj as they were? or better at getting away with it?? Nae bad, yersel'? Always a great event, enjoy
  11. It's not legal to grow that shit yet, and Renta-Blues/Rock lead guitar (in E or A) hasn't quite worked out, or any other music for that matter...
  12. Library worker at ancient university, 9-5 weekdays at grade 3 Nae enough. Very tolerable though, will be a pain to go back to the learning side of education eventually, needs must though.
  13. "You haven't been paying attention if you think this ends well" Ramsay Snow, a few episodes ago...
  14. Everything in life has it's natural ebb and flow, don't push it, when inspiration fades is the time to get into new styles to recharge the creative battery. I had a big shift away from guitar playing in the 90s, that's when I learned to sample, sequence and synthesise, then I got back into it later. It's all too easy to feel guilty about not feeling creative, but fuck that, you can't let yourself down if you're not feeling it after all. Hang in there anyway.
  15. Do they still have to find a new venue every year due to getting banned with the carnage, and that? Been to some crackers...
  16. It's one of those things that you never think make that big a difference until you try it out, and then you can never go back, like well made fuzz circuits. Valve watts are almost always more everything than Solid State watts, my wee 15 watt Laney Cub outperformed a Vox Valvetronix 50w under gigging conditions a fortnight ago, not even miked up, running on full it sounded ace, with tuneful feedback on tap. Get the Fire Bottles min...
  17. Was on a plane with Fiona Kennedy from 'Record Breakers', Dan Air was the airline, I was 11, off to Spain on my own.
  18. My mum hung aboot wi' Annie Lennox at school, they were both living in Mastrick at the time, woo...
  19. Good!!!!!, I'm just glad to be back (for a limited time only) They're good lads as well, we seem to be karmically linked to those dudes somehow. I await eagerly...
  20. also Undersmile and Mares of Thrace albums, having a bit of a heavy revival this year it seems
  21. I could have gone to see him at GSofA tomorrow, but too skinto, if it had been a full Earth show I'd have pawned something to make it, so great last year at Stereo. Enjoy...
  22. Think this is out now... And the Om album is mighty Astounding live band...
