Adam Easy Wishes
Brown's attitude is awful. He's clearly also unfit. The sooner he's out of the club the better, can't be doing with him spouting cryptic shit all over Twitter. Langfield is a better keeper, and a far more likeable guy. Murrr
I've read a lot of ill-informed, misplaced outrage at the Wonga sponsorship deal today. Yeah, they're a pretty grotty company, but let's not forget that the league is sponsored by a bloody bank.Barcelona, so often held-up as some kind of moral benchmark in football, are sponsored by the Qatar Foundation, who are run by a woman who is in favour of executing homosexuals and have links to this lovely guy (Yusuf al-Qaradawi)Throughout history, Allah has imposed upon the [Jews] people who would punish them for their corruption. The last punishment was carried out by Hitler. By means of all the things he did to them ?€" even though they exaggerated this issue ?€" he managed to put them in their place. This was divine punishment for them. Allah willing, the next time will be at the hand of the believers ...Chelsea are sponsored by a company who get up tostuff like this. The list is endless. Chances are that unless you support a smaller side or one that's "sponsored" by a charity, your favourite team already advertise a company with some serious skeletons in its closet. The worst thing I saw today was a lad in a Man United shirt tweeting about how abhorrent it is for Newcastle to accept sponsorship from a company that "exists only to exploit the working class." He was raging about a payday loans company while sitting in a shirt that was almost certainly made for a couple of quid by slave-labour earning a few pennies an hour, then sold in JJB for thirty times its production cost. But hey, that's not important, right?!Football is a dirty, dirty business. Let's not pretend otherwise. Shirts, stadiums, matchdays, players, TV carriers, billboards... *everything* is already sponsored by shady corporations. Fans are the only thing about the game at the highest-level that aren't completely soulless already.

Guest
I don't think anyone could argue Langfield is better than Brown. Brown was v. solid at the end of last season, much better than Langfield. The fact clangers still can't keep the ball in the park from a goalkick pisses me off no end, he's in his thirties for fucks sake he should have learnt by now!, and I think he's there for some sentimental bullshit. I'd be annoyed if I was Brown. That being said I do like Jamie a lot as a guy.
Scootray
He has every right to be annoyed that he's not getting first team football that he was probably promised with his contract extension. But to be such a sulky, moany fuck with his shit-stirring tweets is ridiculous. Brown's father's illness which meant he was unavailable for selection for a few weeks probably hasn't helped his cause either. No banter with the rest of the team? Maybe he needs to deflate his ego slightly (which I've been told from an insider is the size of a jumbo jet) and realise that he needs to make an effort to get on with folk as much as they do. He doesn't follow any of his team mates on Twitter, and none of them follow him. He's obviously gone in there with the mentality of "I've played for a EPL team, so I'm automatically better than all of you". First class bellend. The other thing I've heard (on twitter) is that he doesn't get on with Jim Leighton. Which isn't surprising 'cos he's a grumpy cunt. If you don't get on with the coach though, that's bound to have some effect too.
The Milner
Yeah thats pretty much what ive heard, he thinks he is the best keeper going and none of the players have ever really taken too him, on top of him being public with some of his criticism of the team, which Brown hates. Good enough keeper but seems like a right twat, good riddance i say. Clangers may not be the best keeper in the world, but he is still a good keeper on his day. Paranoid Android
I really still don't understand how the newco managed to acquire Ibrox and Murray Park for such little money. Why weren't they sold off to pay the old company's debts?
stoney_stu
They will need the money to keep paying the wages of the players who signed on at huge rates... for the next 2 years in the 3rd division.

Why weren't they sold off to pay the old company's debts? They weren't good sites to sell from what I recall. Ibrox is a listed building, and I think the local development plan precluded Murray Park being used for residential redevelopment.Sure there were other reasons. Scootray
Apparently the £20M raised is to in some way help strengthen the playing squad. Eh, but you're not allowed to buy anyone for a year...It would be fantastic to see them completely fold.

Eh, but you're not allowed to buy anyone for a year...It would be fantastic to see them completely fold.I think it would be even better if they got stuck in Division 3 and just slowly declined until they were properly at that level with little expectancy of them climbing back up the ladder. Let the agony prolong as long as possible. The sooner they fold, the sooner they will just start an AFC Rangers or something.
