James Broonbreed
I don't get why people would ever want to be completely clean.

MikeyEB
Even my clean tone is filthy, but I'm a whore
James Broonbreed
My clean is at least a micro amp but usually an overdrive.
Bigsby
I don't get why people would ever want to be completely clean.I play in a country band. That said, I was practicing with my other band and the Soul Food was sounding ok into the Orange amps they have at Tom's. But not as good as a nice valve amp. James Broonbreed
Even country should have some dirt. That's what the country's made of after all.
Stroopy121
I'm only a fan of a "clean" tone that gets muddied up naturally by driving the fuck out of a tube amp. Overdrive = clean. xx
Bigsby
Fender guitar into Fender amp, can't be beaten for country!Don Rich never needed any dirt.
colb
I'm not a fan of overdrive, it's too much of one, not enough of the other for me. I go from sparkly clean with a ton of reverb and delay to massive slabs of fuzz and/or distortion. #nohalfmeasures

Moon Moon
Putting custom wound pickups on a Squier, and playing through the quality of amp that you tend to have is a waste of time. Stop throwing money away on crap, buy one decent guitar and amp and leave it at that.my amp, http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/GMX212.aspx......... Bigsby
Nowt wrong with putting better pickups in a Squier. I had a shot of Moon Moon's and it's a fine instrument as is but would no doubt benefit from better pickups.Somebody was selling a set of Texas Specials on Gumtree. I'm probably going to go with custom wound mojo pickups. Only thing is I'm wanting hss routing and it's pretty expensive
colb
I'm definately changing it at one point to just standard SSS once I get the cash as I don't like humbuckers on a strat. Eyeing up mojo pickups again but I'm skint. it sounded great in your hands I must admit. I'm probably going to go with custom wound mojo pickups. James Broonbreed
Just watched Nirvana live at Reading and bought myself a DS-1 cheap and nasty piece of shit. Canna wait.
givemeasmile
Just watched Nirvana live at Reading and bought myself a DS-1 cheap and nasty piece of shit. Canna wait. Yas! I bought a DS2 for pretty much the same reason, but I've actually used it more frequently than I initially thought I would. Has anybody tried one of those digitech grunge pedals for a laugh? Are they any good?
