Alan Cynic
& they are called Mickel Mass........anything else will have to withdarw the name super from groupArf!! MKII is an occasional member of Mickel Mass, and makes most bands 'super' by his mere presence He is an old chap, and easily offended
Bodast
The Downroads are the best band in Aberdeen.. where are they? I want them right now. Do they still play?
Guest Main Agent
I hear there is a collective band called Clique that are making waves and setting a scene locally.
Guest MKII
My favourite local bands are those that include the two Jim's, Wilkie and Ewen. If either of them are involved, it's a sure bet that it's going to be great!
Hog
Yep, check out MKII. He is usually involved in a lot of projects. He is damn old though, as Alan Cynic has already pointed out

Steve Temple
I dont really think indie bands give a fuck about getting on totp. And indie means punk? what the fuck? punk is punk and indie is indie.Only if you think "punk" and "indie" are sounds, rather than ideas, and if you DO, im not gonna buy you a pint of something suitable at the Aberfeldy gig. As ideas, they're the same thing
Steve Temple
I'd say... that my band (The Videos) are a band that have a serious aim to attempt to grin into the BBC cameras of TOTP's. It'd be a dreamI knew it! God, I'm glad someone does
Jim Stax
Heh' date=' it's why we whore ourselves at every industry event we can.My TOTP's claim to fame is that I have one of the exec producer's business cards... and yes he gave it to me willingly. It is only a card though... in reality it means nothing.[/quote']You can get them printed with all sorts of high funcy jobs a the train station for about 3 Well you usd to anyway... Lazy Gun
Ladytron? We were told that in regards to line-up there wouldn't be a problem with us playing... however Ladytron's equipment list was somewhere in the region of 3 A4 pages I believe... thus making it that basically no actual band could have supported them at tunnels.Beastman got the support and had about 1 metre square to play in and had a game boy' date=' a box and some wires. So... that had nothing to do with the quality of my band... more the practicalities... Ladytron don't share equipment and if you saw the amount of stuff they had on stage (4-7 synths... drum kit with numerous electronic booster thingies) 6 people and what I estimate as somewhere in the region of 150 leads (seemed like it anyway) plus their own lighting, a seperate sound-desk and also a desk which changed the lights (at least I believe that's what it did).No band could have fitted on that stage and done a change-over in less than 40 minutes I reckon. So no... it wasn't blunt in the slightest, it was completely understandable. Was an awesome gig too. [/quote']It was a great gig indeed but theres nothing worse than playing in a square metre of stage!! It compromises your performance and you end up looking like a dick!! Especially if you bang into shit!!! You could of maybe done without the Gameboy as they take up a bit too much space and im sure Ladytron sacrificed their PSP's for stage space haha!! soundman56
Check out Righthandleft on myspace, they are releasing a new demo in December. Don't let the poor quality MP3's on myspace put you off going to see them. They are a band that are at their best live and their next gig is at the Tunnels on December 4th. Michael MacLennan
I have very high hopes for Doris Mavis!I think Doris/Mavis were ace at Gavfest, but to be honest I was starting to descending into a drunken stupour at that point, and can only really remember a terrible urge to get on the stage and dance. Has anybody mentioned Project VH yet? If not they bloody well should have.
