  1. Have a look in 'It's Kitsch' on Belmont street. They have lots of 'Merry Christmas you big Knob Jockey' cards and such like.
  2. I found a 'clever' bit of vandalism the other day. You know the public toilets on School hill (opposite Games Workshop). Look for the disabled toilet sign. Someone has cleverly turned the wheelchair logo into a cock and balls.

I'm reading 'The 13 Steps to Mentalism' by Corinda. It's a book of magic tricks (written in the early 20th century) which surprisingly explains the workings of a lot of tricks by 'mentalist' magicians today...ie Derren Brown. (In fact, it explains nearly every damn trick he's ever pulled.) Fascinating. (I'd tell you the contents but I'd have to kill you afterwards.)

I felt a bit let down after reading this book. Especially after just reading 'Fatherland.'
  5. Well the Bon Accord baths at Justice Mill lane is out of commission at the moment due to refurbishment.
  6. That's how a bank does business. It doesn't want you to pay back the overdraft as they can continue to make money on the overdraft interest. To a bank, a bad customer is someone who owns a credit card but pays it off in full every month, never uses the overdraft facility and doesn't have a loan outstanding.

The above book was pretty good and had a twist at the end that I wasn't expecting. Fortunately Dean Koontz has brought out two sequels, one of which I've just started called 'Forever Odd'. Again about the guy that can see the dead.
  8. They have taps in the bogs? .... I never noticed. X-(
  9. Quick one... What's all the bar staffs names now? I know 'Uncie' Pete, Angie, Frank and Michelle but who are the new guys?
  10. Those guys are notoriously bad at predicting the end of the world. 1914, 1915, 1918, 1920, 1925, 1941, 1975 and 1994 were all years predicted by The Watchtower society. So don't hold your breath.
  11. As a Moorings regular for more than 15 years now I can definately say that it's my favourite pub in Aberdeen but I still like the odd visit to other bars around town, including the chain pubs mentioned. Laura and Flash have definately given the bar a new lease of life since they took it over and it's good to see the bar filled on a weekend. I'm sure the average age of the clientelle has lowered considerably since their reign. The presence of a new stage, new sound system, new jukebox, toilets, stools, tables, touch-screen tills and lighting has certainly drawn in the crowds. I only hope all this extra income doesn't encourage Flash and Laura to take early retirement in the Costa Del Sol any time soon.

Your 'analysis' is less than shite.... 1. Pakistan Call Centers Marketplace 2. Terrorist and Extremist Groups of Pakistan Pakistani terrorist groups.

Following complaints to the BBC that there are not enough black or pakistani people on television the BBC has decided to show Crimewatch 3 times a week. I phoned the Samaritans the other day and got a call centre in Pakistan. When I told them I was suicidal they asked me if I could fly a plane.
  14. It's a pretty straightforward cct to build but if you're into building electronic ccts you should start building it on a breadboard before building this on veroboard. That way you can test your components before getting the soldering iron out. Breadboard Veroboard.
  15. [quote name=Elwood Cobra Kai;626321Oooh and they are also remaking Evil Dead' date=' The Hitcher and Escape From New York. It's just shite is what it is. Escape from New York.... my favourite film. They'd better not ruin it.

Started reading "Odd Thomas" by Dean Koontz About a guy who sees dead people. It's got potential. Another of those books that I've decided to read purely on the name of the book.
  17. Well I arrived at 2am..... it was dead but the music was good. After paying to get in (8 for 2 I think it was) we stayed for 10 minutes and walked out. Only to notice that it seemed to have changed to free entry. I feel pretty pissed off about that and am the sort of pedant that bears a grudge for years on end.
  18. Perhaps no-one's actually heard of the site. Many ex-students will have moved on. It's time to advertise again. Free pens, mugs and stickers is a language we all understand.
  19. Such as Hostel, Texas chainsaw massacre (the beginning), House of 1000 corpses. Now I like a good slasher film like the next man, but these are just shit. Where's the story line? At least the Halloween, Friday 13th and Freddie films had a story to them and filled the movie with a bit of horror. Bring back 80's teen horror movies. They remain the best.
  20. There's pros and cons to the Moorings and the Wigs jukeboxes. I love putting obscure tracks on in the Tilted wig but hate having to drink there to hear it. I also love the Moorings because you can work out how long before your song comes on by pressing 'Queue'. (and you can gazzump the queue if you're a rich offshore worker with a pocket full of pound coins!)
  21. Not long now. I can hardly wait. It's just going to be funny seeing every bit of Misfits merchandise walking about in Moshulhu. After all, they are masters of the sell-out.

In a recent government survey the question was asked; Do you think all foreign immigrants should be forced to speak English? 30% said Yes 10% said No 60% said "czkfmvke slkaefj oeiuo werot weot"

You'll have to let us know if this book is any good because I was going to buy it and take it offshore but ended up choosing something else.

Finished this excellent horror novel. (Incidentally it's Crickley Hall... not Crinkley. I only discovered my mistake 300 pages in!) It has everything a horror should have... Stormy weather, malevolent ghosts, child abuse and a big scary house. This one rocks... and the end is pretty emotional too.
