  1. I've never seen Supergrass despite being a fan for ages - might have to check those mo'fos out this time
  2. Shit I forgot about WBL leaving Aberdeen. I'd add Hearse Crash, Sidca and Data Thieves to my list. I've enjoyed Turning 13 and 10 Easy Wishes when I've seen them. Bands I still have to see and make my mind up about for definite: Quik, My Minds Weapon Loaded, Lost Dedalus, Real Shocks Double Jack, Noise Pollution Black Atom, Hot Mangu The Diuretics, Spike Piledriver Hexagonal Pensioners X-Certs, Contra Risactonia, Aprexia and the list goes on and on. I think a lot of this is down to the getting inebriated and missing support acts syndrome that's plagued me since I was able to drink Some serious early doors gigging is required methinks.
  3. I can't wait to see Jurassic 5 and looking forward to hopefully catching Placebo yet again - they just get better and better
  4. Mine would be: Karloff Deadloss Superstar Voice Of Aggression Bonesaw Element 106 Vomitus Simon Gall Band 67 Mooowahahaha! There's still a few bands I've got to see mind (Spike Piledriver and We Become Less for example) but I'll keep you posted
  5. SikTh would be pretty damn cool as I missed them last time but was off seeing the Misfits gig at LT so didnae really care
  6. Oooooh - never thought I'd get a chance to see Fear Factory after not getting to Leeds the last time they played before splitting up but here might be my opportunity to rectify my misfortune...
  7. If I miss the afternoon Neighbours I hope no one's expecting me to come along and see Drowning The World. I've got the repeat to see!
  8. Acrimony is an essential Jetplane song - have to check out the newer stuff methinks. Looking forward to the gig mind. Have Turning 13 got a new guitarist then?
  9. It probably should but I didn't think about it until after I'd posted it. The muppet factor perhaps brings it closer to the Wasteland way of thinking though
  10. Now it seems like my reply is the reply of a madman I tell you! Wasn't trying to be smart just panicked that Truant was called off or summat
  11. Isn't the Saturday the 1st of May? Johnny Truant et al at Moshulu?
  12. The spouse shows me nothing so far unless you mean that guy in Liars as they're kinda more up the Locust's street that Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Is that it? Enlightenment shall be mine! Mwahahaha!
  13. They don't have one in the 'core' lineup as far as I'm aware but they might have a live one? Stranger things have happened...
  14. My vote goes for 'Hey Ya' by Outkast as it seems suitably muppetlike. Mind you it might be more fun to hear them do something by Akercocke or someone more serious in a way.
  15. Not as many as there could be (you can never have too much muppets) but there's enough to satisfy you for the length of a movie definitely! Fantastic little blighters they are too.
  16. Yeah I never agreed with people booing bands - if you don't like it why don't you just bugger off to the bar or summat? I don't think I've ever booed a band (except Karloff ) 'cause at least they're trying you know? I wonder how many of these booing naysayers have bands themselves?
  17. Nowhere near as far as they have methinks - I've seen them twice and got the album but they're awfully average to have people fawning over them so much non? At Leeds last year hardly anyone came out to see Cave In who were on two bands before The Libertines yet put on a much more versatile and inspiring set. I don't actively dislike the Libertines but there are bands far more deserving of praise.
  18. Vomitus are definitely not playing on the 14th just in case anyone's heading along to see them that night.
  19. I have the soundtrack and that is most definitely the camp highlight of the whole piece. If you listen closely enough you can hear Bowie's tights...
  20. That's a fair point about Blink but I love them on record - I meant there's a lot of bands in that genre that sound very average or below to me but are actually quite good live. It's a type of music that feeds especially well from live energy and gives the songs a passion that they missed when being recorded. Still not convinved about Dirtbox being that way but maybe I shall be proved wrong...
  21. Didn't think that the average YYY fan would be into the Locust really. Seems a very strange choice of support but nevermind. I bet I know someone that went that was booing...
  22. I'm sorely tempted to go to this as well. I saw Chimaira and Shadows Fall at Download last year and was pretty impressed (less so with Chimaira) and the addition of Killswitch and God Forbid makes one fantastic tour
  23. They're alright I s'pose - got the 'Against All Odds' demo but they're kinda very...average in my opinion. Might be better live though as a lot of poppier punk is.
  24. Any idea who's supporting aside from Brand New? Are people going down excited to see Brand New as well as Incubus? I haven't heard that much by them but I wasn't that impressed at Lemon Tree. Apparently they've got a new direction and got a lot better since then though. Hope so!
