  1. Well I just took Scott's word for it like a fool and now have egg on me face. Rubbiss. Well I'll try and fulfil my dancing promise NEXT week then
  2. That's mildly amusing even though I quite like their music (but not them really) Maybe it's...those Internet pirates fault that I keep reading about! :O
  3. If I make it to One Up in time before Ugly Duckling and after doing this assessment (that I'm plainly not doing) then I shall purchase it - cheers for the reminder as well
  4. You can't really dance in Drakes (not as much room as Moshulu to flail wildly) and so I think that puts a lot of people off. The relative darkness of Moshulu hides their shame as well when they fall over after too much JD. I'll try and hang about for a bit on Saturday after Tearjerk as I'm not going out anywhere and if suitably intoxicated I shall dance for the DJs amusement! Cannae say fairer than that!
  5. Why are they playing the Beach Ballroom and not like Lemon Tree or Music Hall or something?
  6. I'm excited about seeing Lostprophets again and I'd like to see The Streets and maybe 50 Cent. Not overly worried about most of the others but nae doubt the Concrete Jungle stage and the Smirnoff Dance Arena will make up for it
  7. I must admit I expected the tickets to be like 9 pounds at the most but another four pounds I guess isn't that much. Could be my door fee to Drakes one night mind. Definitely a good experience and a great laugh was had by all
  8. Can you remember the name of said terrible act? Pretty lame covering songs by the headliners at their gig but I guess it's kinda appropriate. There's always some good songs left out I s'pose (especially with quality like UD) and I'll have a thorough look at the merch - cheers for all the info.
  9. I definitely wouldn't say that people don't change their music tastes because of what people say. I've had friends that've started telling me they like bands that they were dissing the month before when it seems the only thing that's changed is that some 'more popular' person that we know likes them
  10. Pigeon John - High School Reunion Ugly Duckling - Turn It Up Slipknot - Don't Get Close Demented Are Go - Pervy Park Tenesee Kait - Cherries
  11. Did they open with 'Opening Act'? It's something I've been wondering for a while and is it just Pigeon John supporting? Plenty of merchandise on sale I take it with the take lots of money thang. Unless you're a budding mugger with a photo of me
  12. And I'm off to Spene Bridge (although I posted it elsewhere but wish to moan some more ) Is this the Breschnev gig?
  13. I just came on here to post and see if anyone was going - even if I have to go on my own I shall be there as they fecking rule!
  14. I too have seen the Green Day set too much but brush up on your styles if you're under 12 kiddies! And don't stand too close to Tre on stage 'cause everyone knows that he looks a bit...you know Icarus Line were amazing last year and they still haven't announced anyone for the Smirnoff Dance Arena which was amazing last year with DIV, Amon Tobin, Squarepusher, 2 Many DJs etc. PS.The Used were main stage last year and I FECKIN' LOVED IT
  15. Christ no wonder Brian's been praising the headliners so much! Ulterior motives!
  16. Deftones and nu-metal and Incubus and emo were the ones I was gonna mention. These scenes just seem to be random assortments of bands that magazines claim belong to a scene. It confuses the hell outta me. Then all the bands claim that they're not in fact that genre in very strong terms. Everyone hated being nu-metal and now bands hate being classified as emo. Confusing non? To sum up I would say that since emocore was defined as emotional hardcore so shouldn't emo be just emotional music? Then anything that stirs feelings could be emo. So emo is by definition confusing. Huzzah I have justified my confusion! Or not. Sorry for the rambling In an ideal world yes. In this one it seems sadly not :O

    Fudge gigs?

I must admit that despite myself I'm loving all this slightly camp threatening behaviour
  18. Quite sad that I missed this gig now seeing as I didn't really do much else but nevermind - definitely going to check out some bands next weekend
  19. I s'pose it's pretty pleasing but it's not really as exciting as either the Download or T In The Park lineups yet - I shall wait and see who else is announced
  20. I'm almost afraid to post this since I fear the answer so much but did I miss a Darkest Hour gig at Drakes? Were Broken Oath supporting? *cowers in fear*
  21. Opeth - the domestic disasters box set.
  22. 'Fraid so - they were pretty cool but Midasuno were more pleasing to mine ears They might be back! You never know!
