  1. Lone Pigeon shall be very good and I shall try my damndest to be in attendance. Missed Bert Jansch at Lemon Tree last time so I'm nae missing this
  2. I can never choose an overall fave Incubus album. S.C.I.E.N.C.E rocks out then Make Yourself is a little more chilled and then the newest one is a bit of a mix. Those 3 are my faves but I pick no winner!
  3. -Graham Coxon -The Descendents -Black Eyed Peas -From Autumn To Ashes -Coheed And Cambria -The Streets These are the only bands so far announced that I'm looking forward to that I haven't seen already X-( Like I keep saying though the electronica and hip hop has yet to be announced substantially
  4. I'd put Matt Bellamy, all of Tool and David Bowie in there for sure. Trent Reznor is indeed a must and I think I'll nominate Devin Townsend before Hog does
  5. Oh yeah forgot about them. Shame
  6. Faith No More Soundgarden Guns 'n' Roses (you can't say the current incarnation counts really can you?) Nirvana Rage Against The Machine That's probably the five for me.
  7. Are the DVDs in good condition yeah? Nothing angers me more than scratched discs
  8. It is infinitely better - still unsure of asking for it though - do all the staff recognise the muddy waters phrase mentioned above?

I really enjoyed reading it as well - not as much as I enjoyed my first pint of 'stuff' on Tuesday but somewhere close to that
  10. Yeah that went on for so long I started despairing that they'd forgotten the track or something and were just playing for time Indeed much credit is due to Drakes as there's not a lot of venues that would put on something like Opaque. Shame I missed Mountain Men Anonymous but was knackered from the Fighting Cougars gig the day before.
  11. Really? Please explain to an unfortunate that hasn't had the chance to see them yet
  12. You'll be impressed methinks
  13. For fecks sake - what are the Locust doing supporting the YYYs? Seems an odd kind of choice non? I might've made more of an effort to get tickets/transport sorted if I'd realised.
  14. Rubbiss. I was looking forward to this one as well.
  15. Bands I can think of off the top of my head that I like the images of are The Icarus Line, Mushroomhead, Slipknot, Rammstein, Akercocke and Murderdolls but you've always got to go back to your classic leather sorta look with the Wildhearts, Amen, Ramones etc. I loved this from somethingawful.com: "The Darkness are an amusing novelty. Yes, Im going to admit it, I do find them funny. Guys in catsuits who make elaborate mouth-gestures while they play bitchin guitar solos on a spaceship make me chuckle, and Im not going to let anyone tell me that its wrong. The fact that theyre looking stupid on purpose definitely elevates them above other bands that look ridiculous unintentionally and just make me feel embarrassed for them (Im looking at you, AFI)"
  16. Got there too late to see Clive Ravensby properly - caught a wee bit of the end of them but can't really judge them if I ain't seen them now can I? Sidca were unlike I expected but were good. I think I preferred the instrumental tracks or the ones with less vocals though. Not too sure whether they fit in with the music well enough for me. Heartily enjoyed them though. Opaque are a terrifying live prospect with the darkness, the two musicians, the masking of their faces and the 45 minute songs but after a slow start (for me anyways) it all started coming together in a weird sorta hypnotic way. Very tense and claustrophobic but enjoyable for that tension. More rocking out towards the end but still staying close to the heart of the original sound I was dull of hearing at the end but bright of heart
  17. Cat On Form were pretty damn good - did fear for my pint somewhat though... Maybe I'm thinking of a kef gig or something. Anyone?
  18. Hehe there's about 50 neds in that band and twice that amount in rubbiss tribal tattoos
  19. I'm available as a chaperone for bar mitvahs, small zoo outings and gigs at Drummonds for a small fee
  20. http://www.ents24.com/web/artist/53446/Chilli.html Playing at Drummonds as well! Has our very own chilli spawned some clones and formed a band? ?(
  21. I got really pissed off with a sort of sneering attitude from someone who shall go unnamed at playing stuff like Alkaline Trio or Misfits as it was 'simple' and 'there's no skill involved'. If it rocks it rocks and sometimes you just wanna play along with a new song without sitting for ten days working out a solo! Although there's always days for solos as well. In summation I think the best way to learn is to just try playing a bit of everything so you can gather skills from all genres and create world peace between genres! Huzzah!
  22. Didn't they play not that long ago in Drakes? Maybe a couple of months ago or summat?
  23. Which quite frankly is all I'm looking for when playing a guitar
