Adam Easy Wishes
Fuck you! I now have the Dizzy: Prince of the Yolkfolk music in my head and it is unlikely to leave any time soon. It's pretty cool though.

TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
Dizzy was bloody great. I loved my Amstrad CPC6128, but I'd imagine the gameplay to most of those games has suffered greatly with age.

ca_gere
This Black Friday thing.Nipped to the shops for a pair of shoes. Picked up a pair with $200 scored out and $70 in bold. Good deal I thought. Cashier rings me up and charges me $15. That's just nuts. I'm gonna get involved in the 5am Walmart rucks next year.
Jaaakkkeee
Amazon and such do black friday stuff. But as you probably all know by now, it's past the 20th, which means I'm skint.
colb
Most of the DC shops had started their Black Friday events by Wednesday. Some of the big chains (Gap, Target, Footlocker etc.) were open on Thanksgiving. I got a new Redskins shirt for $20 down from $105. Those crazy Americans..... FOX
Black Friday works better in America 'cos they don't have stupid taxes on fucking everything.
colb
Black Friday works better in America 'cos they don't have stupid taxes on fucking everything.Unfortunately they do. And it's not shown on the price tag either. DC is 6% on top of most things. Some states are as much as 10% on top.
Soda Jerk
Do shelf prices still not include the total price including tax in the States?

colb
10% < 20% VAT isn't the reason things are more expensive to buy in the UK. Import Tax is.Same in the US, unless you're buying something from an american based company it isn't really any cheaper to shop there. FOX
Ah well. Most (good) things are American-based anyway, so.
Skacel
I have a query regarding the state tax thing, if something is $300 online in the apple store (for example), will it be $330 in store in a state with 10% sales tax?
