Was ordering a couple of hard drives recently for a home server and all the tech shops wanted to charge £20 postage despite some advertising "free delivery to UK Mainland". Apparently Banchory is Highlands and Islands and not 20 minutes outside of a major UK city after all. In the end I bought the same hard drives for the same price but with free delivery from Amazon. He stated that it was the couriers fault not his own as they class the entire AB postcode are as a remote rural location. I thought Aberdeen was the energy capital of Europe?
