i'm LOVING the yeah yeah yeah's album. I reckon that might be mine so far. The Camera Obscura one is really good too.

I'm rubbish at remembering what albums came out this year or late last year. So I'll probably think of more...

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Show your Bones

Giant Drag - Hearts and Unicorns

Those +

Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan ~ Ballad Of The Broken Seas

Mogwai ~ Mr. Beast

Johnny Cash ~ American V

Regina Spektor ~ Begin To Hope

Muse ~ Black Holes And Revelations

Boris ~ Pink

Mono ~ You Are There

Howling Bells ~ Howling Bells

The Strokes ~ First Impressions Of Earth

Jesu ~ Silver (OK, technically it's an EP but it's as long as some albums!)

The new Flaming Lips album must be one of the most disappointing listens I've had.

WOLFMOTHER! Gotta be Wolfmother.

Muse's new one rocks too.

Only got it last week but James Dean Bradfield's solo offering is really really good. It's a bit more straightforward than the usual Manics gubbins so if sticks in your head easier.

Also the new Butch Walker record, 'The Rise and Fall of Butch Walker and The Let's Go Out Tonites'. Mavelous (natch!). Sorta AC/DC crossed with The Dresden Dolls

Hasn't really been much this year but enjoying the newest Rob Zombie album, Satyricon and Peeping Tom.

Didn't think much of the Sikth record so far but could be a grower.

Also have high hopes for the new Stone Sour and Deadsy albums.

at the moment, according to windows media player, my most played lps of 2006 are :

clogs - lantern

think about life - s-t

beth orton - comfort of strangers

liars - drum's not dead

final fantasy - he poos clouds

oh no! oh my! - s-t

cadence weapon - breaking kayfabe

haino keiji and yoshida tatsuya - new rap

alamos - s-t

i'm also going to go "out on a limb" and say that

yo la tengo - i am not afraid of you and i will beat your ass

is the album i will enjoy the most this year (in the leaked version i have each track fades out 3/4 in, a clever tactic by matador to get internet pirates to splash out on the cd when it is released)
