  1. Well, you already know about Panic DHH this weekend Digital hardcore all the way for me!
  2. If it helps, the Moshulu gig starts at 7 and will be done for 10:30 due to Air Guitar afterwards. That would place Motormark on stage around 8:30, and off no later than 9:30. Of course, Strobing Goat and MART will be well worth turning up earlier for, and Panic DHH well worth sticking around for and all... But if push comes to shove PM me if you want any more details!
  3. If Pop Will Eat Itself every reformed I'd so be their tour bitch.
  4. Einsturzende Neubauten, because they are simply the most invigorating band live and one of the most rewarding to actually see make the music - The inventiveness adds a whole new level to what you just accept on CD. And, er, I'm going to go to Berlin in November and see them twice in the gutted shell of the Palast Der Republik. One of those gigs is a supporter only event to help them make things for their new album. Rockin'.
  5. Did I mention Panic DHH supported KMFDM on their last tour?
  6. Didn't said DJ do a set at the Lemon Tree that was the fookin' bomb at one of your Birthday or Fudge awards nights? Tokyo Blue?
  7. Go read this and come see Panic DHH this Saturday the 25th September at Moshulu. Strobing Goat will be supporting, upping the industrial quota whilst the electropunk side of you will be thrilled by Motormark and MART.
  8. They've all been supported by Motormark. "Marko and Jane met at High School at the ages of 12 and 14 respectively. Jane is the daughter of a folk singing duo whilst Marko was born to a polish bass playing mother. Jane liked the Pixies, drinking up the cemetery and played violin, Mark formed a band. Jane and Marko grew closer and the band got smaller. The last member left because he thought their relationship was 'too fucking weird.' They play their first gig on 23rd January 2002 and it makes Janes parents cry. Packed with razor blade lyrics, snaking guitar riffs, straffing electronic signals, robotic drums and Marko and Janes unmistakable, commanding and at times shrieking vocals, [upcoming release] Chrome Tape [on DHR records] is raw, visceral and packed with attitude." - DHR press release. Motormark, live at Moshulu, Saturday the 25th September with label-mates Panic DHH. 7pm / 5 / Over 14's Support from MART and Strobing Goat
  9. "Truly though, this is music that could start a riot, and keep on stoking the flames 'til it's out of control." - Logo Magazine "Loud, Aggressive, Exciting, and most importantly, far from anything you've heard so far." - Drowned In Sound "...akin to sitting in the dentist chair and knowing a drill is burrowing into your tooth but not caring, as the anaesthetic is beautiful." - Live4Metal "Listening to this makes me laugh at the idea that I ever heard NIN as anything other than the badly disguised pop act that they are..." - Terrorizer "...a fully-fledged vision of electronically treated music devastating in scope and utterly visceral in execution..." - Kerrang! "...so caustic and lacerating that it begs to be sent straight back to hell. [...] How far do you want to go?" - Rocksound Panic DHH - Live at Moshulu with DHR label-mates Motormark, Saturday 25th September. God help you all. 7pm / 5 / Over 14's Support from MART / Strobing Goat
  10. http://www.studio24edinburgh.co.uk/ Shit and buggery, Stafraenn Hakon's playing tomorrow night there.
  11. Carlton Studios - Or Studio 24 Been to a few club nights there, if it's in the main room it's not a massive venue, but should be a (cosy/frantic/deathtrap)* gig. *Delete as applicable.
  12. That was a plan a while ago that never quite came through... I heard someone else in Aberdeen was interested in getting them up - If that person reads here, then PM me!
  13. Motormark's new single, "Eat Drink Sleep Think" is out on the 27th of September - The video is getting played on MTV2's 120 Minutes on Wednesday night. Remember they're playing here, at Moshulu, on Saturday the 25th of September! A limited number of tickets on sale from the Bassment for 4 with no booking fee, or it'll cost you a fiver on the door.
  14. Depends which series is your favourite, 2 or four.
  15. Gin and Juice, as covered by The Gourds. All other suggestions are redundant in the face of such a magnificent genre-defying cover.
  16. Maybe it's a meta-cover, that would be clever.
  17. Panic DHH and Motormark on the 25th September, folks. I think this is the first time a DHR label band has played Aberdeen - And there's not one, but two of them on Alec Empire's rosta on this bill. Whoop!
  18. Ash will be gutted if he misses another Motormark gig!
  19. Get the day off, call a sicky. Either way you'll miss out majorly if you aint there!
  20. Saturday they 25th September at Moshulu: PANIC DHH: Alec Empire's guitarist, Robbie Furze, and his band of industrial noise terrorists bringing the DHR smackdown to stage. Easily the most insanely loud sonic assault of the Fresher's week. MOTORMARK: Electro-punk duo with bile and bounce fresh before the release of their new single on DHR records. They've become somewhat legendary due to their fantastic live gigs supporting the likes of Peaches, Ladytron and The White Stripes. It's been a while since they played Aberdeen, and their itching to be back in one of their favourite cities to play. STROBING GOAT: Local lads who hark back to old-skool Ministry, with the thumping industrial stylings of the Revolting Cocks. Another fine example of just how much noise you can make with just two people. M.A.R.T.: Call it what you want, this is nursery-core. One man up against it all, with only a guitar and some kind of backing music gadget. Heroic. Doors 7pm, tickets 4 from The Bassment or s.t.b.f. from One Up and online from wayahead.com
  21. Strobing Goat and MART added to the bill, and limited numbers of advanced tickets on sale now from the Bassment (no booking fee) and One Up (stbf) priced 4. Stormer.
