  1. Sounds good to me! The only incident that I'm still unsure about is the dinner where the visitor becomes sick. Obviously Su-Mi is the step-mother in this scene, but why does the guest get so sick? Is it just because of the obvious psychoticness of Su-Mi freaking them out?
  2. There was a good website that discussed it all somewhere, but I can't remember it. Basically, ***SPOILERS*** Su-Mi's mad as a fucking hatter and blames her step mother for driving a rift into her family and probably for the death of her mother and sister. She's back from hospital, supposedly cured, but starts freaking out - She imagines her sister is still alive and that her step mother is still in the house (hence why step-mother and father never speak - Perhaps they've split up due to the severe and destructive illness Su-Mi displays - and why both her, her sister and her step mom have their period on the same day). Long story short, Su-Mi goes mad in the house *again*, her dad turns up with the real, live, step-mother at the end and she goes back to the mad house. But, being an asian film and we've been expecting ghosts, so the ghost of Su-Yeon crawls from the cupboard she died in to take her revenge on the woman that left her trapped under her dead mother. Or something.
  3. Well, there's no reason to turn on the radio anymore...
  4. Due to a couple of people pulling out from being able to go tonight, I've got two tickets going spare for Bloc Party tonight, face value (6 each). If anyone needs them, PM me with a phone number and I'll contact you to arrange to meet. I'll be leaving my flat at around 19:15, so if you PM me after that, don't expect a response!
  5. About time we saw your sorry ass outside of Moshulu See ya there Ross!
  6. Shit! Glad you reminded me about that one!
  7. Oops, I only half read your reply above mine - Should pay more attention I guess!
  8. Good timing, too - It's not long before their Christ and Frogpocket gig at Drakes (the 4th of November, I think). I think Martin from Barking Spider Electronics is playing the same night, so you'll get three really different Scottish electronic experts to say hello to! But yeah, Chili & Graeme are right at the core of organising this kind of thing. I'm sure they'll find this thread soon and say hello!
  9. These two gigs have made my year, both fantastic line ups - Thomas Truax is totally unique, a rare treat for Aberdeen indeed.
  10. Joy Division were getting promoted as 'gothic' by their producer, Martin Hannett, in 1979. Kinda predates the positive punk tag which gave way to a more widely accepted use of the word 'goth' in the mid 80's. So I guess JD were proto-goth. NO are just guilty by association
  11. Dear god man, didn't they teach you anything at Goth School?
  12. What the press have to say about PANIC DHH: "Truly though, this is music that could start a riot, and keep on stoking the flames 'til it's out of control." - Logo Magazine "Loud, Aggressive, Exciting, and most importantly, far from anything you've heard so far." - Drowned In Sound "...akin to sitting in the dentist chair and knowing a drill is burrowing into your tooth but not caring, as the anaesthetic is beautiful." - Live4Metal "Listening to this makes me laugh at the idea that I ever heard NIN as anything other than the badly disguised pop act that they are..." - Terrorizer "...a fully-fledged vision of electronically treated music devastating in scope and utterly visceral in execution..." - Kerrang! "...so caustic and lacerating that it begs to be sent straight back to hell. [...] How far do you want to go?" - Rocksound
  13. Alec Empire's guitarist (Robbie Furze) brings his DHR label band PANIC DHH to Moshulu tonight. If you are a fan of Alec Empire's Intelligence and Sacrifice album but worry that the frantic anger and riot-inducing pounding heart of Atari Teenage Riot has been long buried then Panic DHH will reaffirm your love of DHR. None more hardcore. Pulling up the flank side will be Motormark, Scotland's own addition to the DHR label - Post-punk fury hitting casio-obessions head on in a boy/girl tsunami of angular guitars and ascerbic electronics. Support from Strobing Goat and MART. Doors are 7pm tonight, with first act on pretty sharp after that. TONIGHT (Saturday the 25th September) MOSHULU 7pm All ages 5 on door - Limited number of 4 tickets available until 5pm at The Bassment. "Truly though, this is music that could start a riot, and keep on stoking the flames 'til it's out of control." - Logo Magazine "Loud, Aggressive, Exciting, and most importantly, far from anything you've heard so far." - Drowned In Sound "...akin to sitting in the dentist chair and knowing a drill is burrowing into your tooth but not caring, as the anaesthetic is beautiful." - Live4Metal "Listening to this makes me laugh at the idea that I ever heard NIN as anything other than the badly disguised pop act that they are..." - Terrorizer "...a fully-fledged vision of electronically treated music devastating in scope and utterly visceral in execution..." - Kerrang! "...so caustic and lacerating that it begs to be sent straight back to hell. [...] How far do you want to go?" - Rocksound
  14. Did I mention they'd supported Melt Banana, KMFDM and Bomb 20?
  15. Chances are high we'll have another good gig before the end of January - We're still awaiting the confirmation for when Psydoll will be back in the country plus we've just been offered Warren Suicide.
  16. Perhaps he could team up with Rachel Trachtenburg and do an under-12's tribute act to the White Stripes.
  17. From all the reviews I've read they manage really well. The ex-Lifeshade lot ranted and raved about them after the Glasgow KMFDM gig - I just hope Moshulu still has a PA left by the time Air Guitar starts 8o
