  1. As The Videos can't play this gig, the new support is the Aberdeen 4Bit Crew. This has got to be seen to be appreciated, especially if you like hand-held electronic game systems and the Flintstones. Superb!
  2. Unfortunately, The Videos can no longer play this gig. But fear not, we've got an amazing replacement (thanks to Graeme, Chilli and Sharon for their help!). Motormark and Piney Gir will now be supported by the Aberdeen 4Bit Crew. Like retro-computer games and the Flintstones? You'll love this guy.
  3. Nah, he only seems to smile live when kicking Warren Ellis in the arse.
  4. Quality! Did you catch him at the Barrowlands on the No More Shall We Part tour? When everything went black and he came down spinning, a solitary pidgeon feather descended from the vent above the stage - spiralling down in front of a bemused Mr. Cave. Magic timing
  5. Aberdeen bands you may want to try and get in contact with are Strobing Goat (a two peice industrial combo, strong elements of RevCo & Ministry to my ears) and Starfall (Three peice electro-metal outfit, Pitchshifter/Skinny Puppy sounds). Starfall have a website, but I don't think Strobing Goat do yet. Glasgow's got a few bands, the more synthpop The Lost Highway, excellent PWEI/Pitschifter industrial lot Je$us Loves Amerika and insane electro-beat lot Dirty Hospital (two ex-members of Bis!), who you can contact through Rottenrow Records. DHR's latest signing is a Scottish band, and they're always up for touring - Motormark - They're playing down your neck of the UK early February, too.

16.05 from seetickets.com (booking fee, postage etc included) plus potential of a free lift down and back if you're up for keeping me awake on the way back that evening.
  7. Ah' date=' well I know it's not going to make it anymore your thing, but you can read reviews from all around the world of Piney's live shows and releases here. It's just that, crazily enough, she's based in London at the moment.

I've got my ticket for the Edinburgh gig, hurrah!
  9. Motormark are playing Glasgow the week after, if that's any help? FRI_28_JAN_05 / UK / GLASGOW / UTTER GUTTER AT THE RIVERSIDE CLUB They're also playing Edinburgh the night after the Aberdeen gig with Piney Gir (22/01/05) but I reckon that'd be just as inconvenient as the Aberdeen gig for you...
  10. Plenty of shots of her on her website although none of them probably what you're looking for, Johnny.
  11. From your 'listening to' section I reckon Motormark would be more you're thing - They're playing the same bill and are currently signed to Alec Empire's DHR label.
  12. She's so sweet, yet such a sassy lady. Don't get the chance to see her much, but when I do it's mesmerising... Luckily for you all, I aint the jealous type - So I'm willing to share my infatuation PINEY GIR is a new treat to Aberdeen, playing her first gig up here ever! She's the toast of the underground ecclectic indie scene in London, with her tip-top synthpop swagger through every genre imaginable. From crooning swing songs to full-on Peaches style electronic sleaze, she's a sweet'n'sassy slice of American pie who's bound to inspire a lot of school boy crushes in the crowd. We're so taken with Piney and so sure you'll love her too that we've flown her and her band up from London for two exclusive Scottish shows. Dr Drakes - Friday 21st of January - 8pm - 4 With Motormark & The Videos
