  1. just discovered this thread. i was looking for "the venue" too as the pixies, one of my all time favourite bands, played there in 1989. amazing.
  2. Hi, Is anyone going to the Flaming Lips next Wednesday, and driving back up? If so, would anyone like to give me a lift? I'd be able to provide petrol money and whatnot. Thanks for reading! (this isn't j.turgenev)
  3. There's an article about this in today's Press and Journal, for anyone who might be interested in words and pictures!
  4. well that's good news. the way i hear information is filtered through about six people, so it came out garbled as "for the forseeable future". not as garbled as that subsisters guy's face, however.
  5. for the record: never take me seriously. some people just don't get irony/sarcasm. especially that subsisty character, revelling in his own self-importance like a sleazy bigwig. how will dedalus continue now that steven is going anyway?
  6. i didn't think they were weird at all. maybe you're just too plain! i can only make it to your arkade gig if foxface is a no-go.
  7. this is one gig i can stand interesting music harranging everyone about with endless information and reasons to go. like a girl asking you to the prom every day, but then realising she actually scrubs up quite well.
  8. i heard steven dedalus was heading the way of stephen dedalus from 'a portrait of the artist as a young man' by james joyce... a disgusting drunk who continually visits prostitutes, whilst having severe religion-induced guilt over his sins but not being able to do a damned thing about it.
  9. would anyone have any suggestions/spaces/etc for glasgow-based foxface? they are an alt-country three piece in the vein of bonnie prince billy, palace, etc. they recently supported magnolia electic co. they are also very good. any help would be appreciated, especially for the dates 14th/15th of october. thanks!

  11. ah, gravefeast. i hope my night isn't ruined by walking in on sharon lindsay and joe hearty naked, like last year. i wear skeleton skull sunglasses. i wear swan and ann shirt. i wear ladies cardigan. i drink buckfast, and gin, old friends. i'm glad sandy isn't coming, he kicked my dog last week. also, he got really drunk and shouted and swore really loudly at my sister's wedding last year, about incest. so we're not on speaking terms.
  12. also paul mccartney, and bob geldof. and bono, that fucking fuckhead shitcunt. i hope they all explode into a trillion pieces and go so far into space that they don't even exist as particles.
