keeno
I'm glad you like it because I think it looks horrific. Not a fan of spalted maple? The thing I hate is the gold hardware. it will look much better with black hardware (I think i got the very last run of those as the company now make them with black hardware!). I've already changed the knobs to bubinga instead of gold....

keeno
I do realise why some people may hate it so no offence taken I'm not a fan of the typical 'lets paint it one colour and stick a plastic scratchplate' finish that is the norm. If you've got a decent piece of wood (which a guitar should be built from anyway!) stained or natural wood finishes are just about the only things I like. Even though it needs quite a few things replacing for me to be happy with it, including postage and VAT it did cost me less than the cheapest classic squier instrument I could find online and IMO is much better quality. Their new instruments with black hardware are also more than twice the price I paid for mine!
Bigsby
I like spalted maple. I saw a spalted maple tele in Merchant City Music in Glasgow recently that looked amazing. Not into the pointy headstock Floyd Rose thing though, but each to their own. fatboy
Keeno showed me the other day, very very fucking heavy, I wouldn't want to play it standing up any length of time.

Soda Jerk
Little Muff is sweet. Much more controllable than the Rocket.Quite tempted by a Devi Ever Torn's Peaker now too. I don't got the cash for all this gassing.
Old Gold
I played a gig with my new setup a few weeks ago. it sounded wonderful.Fender Standrard Strat > ZVEX SD2in1 > BOSS '63 Fender Reverb > MXR Carbon Copy > Matamp Minimat Mk1 > Orange 1x12Revisiting the idea of selling my seldom used Les Paul to fund a Rickenbacker 330. Soda Jerk
I'd love a Ricky. I want to look and feel like Paul Weller. I also want to be like him and tell people to fuck off when they request songs, and then finish early because "I just don't feel into it"I'd get all that from a Ricky. neepheid
Picked this up at the weekend Nice choice, I hear good things about these Sterling basses. Out of interest what made you choose this over the G&L?
girl anachronism
There wasn't a G&L available sadly, and so I tried this out and really liked it. I'd have still been keen to try a G&L but couldn't find one in any of the music shops in Glasogw.
