Neil
The first episode of a new Channel 4 comedy called the I.T. Crowd (yep, it's a sitcom about a bunch of geeks at work) is available to watch exclusively online (it doesn't air till next week) over here: http://www.channel4.com/entertainment/tv/microsites/I/itcrowd/The series is written by Graham Linehan (bloke behind Father Ted and Black Books) and even Chris Morris has a small acting role in the series as the big boss. On paper it should be good but I found this first episode to be a little disappointing. Watch it for yourselves and see what you think... Pointless.that would have been exactly the same time I went "...ooooh! morris!"I'll have to have a look at that trailer...I hope it isn't shit...I'm hoping it's going to be like dark place...I need to get that on DVD or summat.... Larsen B
Yes, i noticed that the guy who played Dean Learner in Darkplace is in this. Not impressed by the adverts.
Teabags
Chris Morris is a fucking legend.Aint amazing, but better than some shite, like fucking Peepshow, which I c`ant understand why is so popualr, cos everytime I acth it, I think it's total gash. This could turn into something half funny. Guest MerryChristmas
If youre going to make a comedy DONT ADVISE ME WHEN TO LAUGH
threeornothing
The initial trailer was a bit OTT.....but having watched the preview on Friday its a bit more light hearted than I thought...it's still pretty shit though.Thankfully its not like the real thing, that could possibly beat watching Big Brother live when everyone is sleeping as the most pointless television ever. The female looking guy from The mighty boosh makes some cameos towards the end of the season as the 4th IT guy. lollerskates
There are too many "trying to be like Father Ted" moments. And Peep Show is fantastic. As is Black Books.
Chris
I thought it was pretty good. Certainly made me laugh a lot more than that Hyperdrive pish I watched last night.
lollerskates
Yes. Hyperdrive was awful. Very very bad.
2 minutes of hate
I'm hoping it's going to be like dark place...I need to get that on DVD or summat....I bought a copy on ebay and the quality is pretty good, even though its recorded straight from E4. Its a just a shame they never released the series officially. I was reading somewhere that channel 4 said they wouldn't air another series however they are going to release a film in conjunction with someother people, which just has to be amazing (on a budget of 10).Lucien Sanchez over and out
Guest onlynik
I thought it was pretty good. Certainly made me laugh a lot more than that Hyperdrive pish I watched last night. The IT criwd - Some funny moments which I could relate to. best thing, abiltiy to watch it when you want before it airs on TV.Hyperdrive I guess is just an excuse to use old Red dwarf and Blakes 7 sets. Christ its pitiful.
Stripey
There are too many "trying to be like Father Ted" moments. That's why I like it, I thought it was pretty cool altogether, the only annoying thing is that ep 2 isn't screened for another 2 weeks! grrr! MattJimF
I enjoyed it, as has been said before better than Hyperdrivel. As for the second episode, are they not having a double bill on friday?
Larsen B
I just watched it. It was okay, it had it's moments. Moss was quite funny, but i wouldn't go out of my way to watch unless the second episode is a drastic improvement.
threeornothing
I think its a double bill on Friday yeah. The funniest part was certainly the first 3 seconds....
Teabags
just watched it again.think funniest part was the Moss guy, I like him, espeically when they laugh like teenagers at the "half-cocked" line. ace.
Dayeth
I was rather impressed with it, I was going to give it a quick glance on Friday night ended up just watching them both in a thorough state of amusement.
Untitled
i found it funnycant wait for it next week
framheim
thought it was okay. some funny bits but nothing near as great as linehans previous efforts. the moss guy was cringingly bad in places and was really hamming it up as a geek a bit too much. the best bit was when chris morris pulled out a picture of the a-team. Guest MerryChristmas
it says you can watch it online but i cant find a link anywhere on http://www.channel4.com/entertainment/tv/microsites/I/itcrowd/
Michael MacLennan
I thought it was ace, perfect type of comedy for Friday night Channel 4. Great to see Chris Morris back on screen.
threeornothing
Chris Morris is great, particaularly in the second episode..."Nice screensaver!"Can't stand the woman, her voice reminds me of Waynetta Slob...and the Irish bloke over does the stupid accent a lot, Richard Ayoade is good aswell though....don't think he overplays it at all (I mean its supposed to be pathtically OTT I think) only he would remember the new 999 number
Skull Commander
I thought it was ok. Not the best, but not the worst. Having said that I'm not a massive father Ted fan, finding it amusing in places but not the be all and end all of comedy.
