Guest Ancient Mariner
.....I have a few, depending on the reaction I have to a sunny day. When it fills me with the spirit of '68, it's Community Music (Asian Dub Foundation) or Volunteers (Jefferson Airplane). Sunny days always make me feel more receptive to the exotic, so Moffou (Salif Keita) gets a look in. For driving to where the settlements are sparse and the hills are high, A Pagan Place (The Waterboys) is a good one. Geogaddi (Boards of Canada) always makes lying on the grass and watching cloud formations an experience kindred to an epiphany. But then, The Sound of the Jam or the Complete Kinks are right for a mood of carefree abandon.Of course, sometimes they remind one of lonely, lovelorn summers, so The Queen is Dead (The Smiths) fits the bill "A dreaded sunny day, so I meet you at the cemetry gates......"What are yours?
