Great to see the Mitch Hedberg love on here, he was a genius. I enjoyed Ed Byrne on Tuesday. He was funnier now than his DVD from a few years back.

To say I love power metal is a chronic understatement. In fact, that's true of me and a number of my mates. I'll try and bring some people along if the date's on my side. EDIT: I have now checked out Broken Melody on MySpace. There is absolutely NO DANGER that I am missing this gig. I've been bursting for something like this for absolutely ages.

Yussss. I'm seeing Metallica this month for the first time, and I still might be more excited about this.

Not much wowing me here really. Gaslight obviously, and Seasick Steve, but very little outside of that.

Not mad about them, I must say. Never have been. Looking forward to this although I don't think I'll like it quite as much as last time. I loved Sam's Town and they blasted virtually all of it back on the 2007 tour. Day and Age isn't a bad record but it's their patchiest to date, I reckon. That said, Human, Spaceman and A Dustland Fairytale are all right up there with their best.

This was excellent on Tuesday. Was my first time in Bar 99 as well, rest assured it won't be my last.

I quite liked the first AVA album but I thought the second one was totally autopilot. +44 seemed inoffensive enough. I'm quite cynical about this reunion but I'm interested in hearing what the new stuff sounds like, I must say.
