  1. A request if I may. See for the more chart-orientated stuff, any chance of Poker Face by Lady Gaga? Tune and a half. I have to miss the gig for band practice now but I'm still more than up for the clubnight, provided i can rope in some mates.
  2. Was hoping to make this but I've got a funeral in Peterhead tomorrow so am no longer coming through tonight I'm afraid. Hope it goes well though!!
  3. Fantastic stuff! Well done to the guys.
  4. After the discussion on here about it, I watched Funny Games US last week. Although I'd be reluctant to say I enjoyed it as such, it's a really good film. Pretty inventive stuff and I think it gets its message across pretty well. Gutted I missed The Wrestler, seems to be gone from most cinemas these days. Consarn it.
  5. On the subject of those additional details... Additional support comes from Edinburgh's Unicorn Kid. Tickets are 9 stbf, and are available from Tickets for concerts, theatre, football, family days out. Official Ticketmaster Site. Should be in OneUp this week, more info as and when it arises.
  6. Cracking lineup that. I loved Pitchshifter, not to mention Lit, 3 Colours Red and Grand Drive. Mmmmm.
  7. Jeez, that was quick, haha! Well if I'm not called into work, I may head along then!
  8. Superb. We now each have a rough idea what the other looks like. We will have a pint the next time our paths cross, yes? Anyway, back on topic, I'm looking forward to seeing these boys again, whenever that turns out to be. A really tight live act with the tunes to go with it.
  9. Ahh right! I'll know for next time! I think a few of my mates will be really into it, so I'll try to bring some more
  10. 19th eh? It's on. Depending on who you were, I might well have. I was the guy in the blue shirt with the glasses and beard that danced ridiculously to Boys of Summer. I spent the night at the bar with a guy with a black hat on and Mike from Beyond. Which one were you?
  11. Amidst all my Funny Games-based questions, I think I actually forgot to mention that I saw Slumdog Millionaire last week, and thought it was pretty tidy. A few of my mates have seen Seven Pounds. I'm hearing pretty mixed reactions to it so far.
  12. Nice one. I spotted it in the Zavvi bargain bin the other day. I might let them shave a wee bit more up the price then snap it up pre-closing. The reviews I read seemed to be staggeringly polarised, so I was just curious to know what you thought.
  13. I got well excited there, I thought Curators were coming back up. Looks like I'll have to wait until later that month
  14. Haha, that photo is god awful. Sounds right enough to me man, that's pretty much where i was at. With a really tall guy with longish hair. Were you absolutely right in front of me?
  15. This Monday 2nd February Headlight - Headlight on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads Our first gig of 2009. We're headlining this one and it should be a lot of fun. Support comes from the following... Simon Patchett of Red Mongoose plays an acoustic set - Red Mongoose on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads Heller State - HELLER STATE on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads Forfar's Safe2Say are making the trip too... Safe2Say on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads Entry is 4 on the door I believe, doors at 8. Hopefully see a few of you there.
  16. Forgive the lateness of flagging this up, but is this film any good? I'm not sure what to make of the premise, or what it aims to achieve.
  17. Why shouldn't I be? I suppose it's because they make music I enjoy. I'd probably struggle to offer any more of an explanation than that.
  18. That takes me back. Good show, that was. They were decent. I think my first of serious gig-going was Hell is for Heroes + Turning 13 + Tetra Splendour at the Lemon Tree. I was about 16.
  19. I'm utterly unashamed in my love of MCR, but I'm not convinced by this on the first time out.
  20. Both have been in since day one - I remember seeing them back when I was at school - Mike and Dave (backing vox) were both in the year above me. They used to be a bit more garage-rock-n-roll type stuff, and were called The Leads. Quite a transformation to what you see today, thought they were great last night. Ditto Little Kicks actually, it was a good night.
  21. fucking peach. I'll be at this. I get back from Metallica that day, nice comedown!
  22. Bryan Adams, when I was 9. This was followed by Bryan Adams again, when I was 11.
