  1. Better than mine, which would be "Not Applicable York", as I've never had any pets.
  2. It's a quality record! Carrots Gladstone is a winner by the way, I think you should start using it as a pseudonym.
  3. Mine is even less interesting, it's the name of my favourite album of the year.
  4. Stuck in Peterhead for work this week, tomorrow included, so I won't be along unfortunately. To that end, just dropping in to wish all the best. I'll try to be along to the next one!

    Getting thin!

Sound. I'm going to do this, looks like solid advice.

Yeuch. That's simultaneously disgusting and sick. The one I saw was terrible. This American guy. He was actually so fat that his skin couldn't hold it and started to burst. The worst of it was that none of it seemed to be discernible medical problems, just that he ate the most unbelievable quantities of unhealthy foods. I struggle to comprehend just how anyone can let themselves get that bad.

Those programmes are the best kind of accidental scaremongering. I remember that Bodyshock programme about the 70,000 Pound Man. Holy hell, that gave me nightmares.
  8. Depending on how far afield you need to go for this one, I know for a fact that Glasgow's Always Until Victory are looking for gigs. MySpace.com - Always Until Victory - Glasgow, UK - Hardcore / Punk / Rock - www.myspace.com/alwaysuntilvictory

HA! That is indeed a shedload of weight to lose in a one-er though, good shift. I was losing weight quite steadily for a while but that's gone out the window of late, my diet's slipped up a bit and I drink too much beer. Although the upside is that because I'd lost quite a bit of weight (a stone and a half in little over a month) I know I can do it again. To that end, I've just started again, although a bit more exercise would probably do me a few favours too...
  10. I saw him at the Music Hall a couple of years ago. He wasn't too shabby. I'll probably sidestep this tour, mind. Thanks for the link all the same.
  11. Good to hear. I'm going to make a point of trying to get to these in future.
  12. That's certainly why I liked them, definitely.
  13. Ooh. I like Cobra Kai. I'll check this out when I get back from work.
  14. No sir. If all else fails, I'll pinch it from the office and play it anyway!
  15. Do it man, it'll definitely get a spin. We give most things we get a fair shake.
  16. Afternoon Stich! See, I wasn't going to mention that, but now, cover's blown! Haha. Funny how things work out. But aye, I routinely play The Little Kicks and Kartta, amongst others, so suggestions are welcome in that regard. The Buchanie's review of Wizard this year was abysmally written I thought. I agreed with some of it, but the rest of it was misguided, poorly-written drivel. I think they even got some of the band names wrong. Also, Parka "sounding like Oasis", is the sign of someone who didn't actually watch them.
  17. Ah yes, I remember! Feel free to send more stuff to Waves by the way. Mark my name on it and they'll pass it straight to me. I'll give it a play on the Saturday/Sunday shows, plug the MySpace etc. I know it's not the most finger-on-the-pulse station in the world but I do my best At work, my colleague has just put on that godforsaken Alesha Dixon song. Suppose I'll be whistling that all day now...
  18. Wizard 07 topped 08 for me. But it was still a cracking weekend. I was covering it for work though, so missed a lot for interviews etc. If I'm not "on duty" next year I'll make it a wee bit more of a celebration! Stuck in my head today? That fucking Pink song. Curse you guys and the power of suggestion!
  19. Yussssssssssssssss. I've had the chorus from "Stop!" by Against Me! in my head for ages. Also, when I see it written down, that band sure do love punctuation. That and the guitar bit from Life in Technicolor by Coldplay. My entire family must hate me right now.
  20. I have no doubt that I would. That night I saw you at the Tunnels when they played with Spokes I thought they played a blinder. As far as Headlight acoustic shenanigans go, I'm game, even though in my bass-centric role I probably wouldn't be contributing too much! All the best for tonight!
  21. Were it not for the fact I am stuck in Peterhead until the end of the week, I'd have toddled along to this. Give me a summons for the next one, as this Belmont Cafe malarky sounds like something I'd rather enjoy!
  22. Trouble, Shiver and Don't Panic were all dropped from the set on Saturday anyway. I can't stick Trouble or Don't Panic, but Shiver is a tune. They actually took the liberty of siphoning out the tunes of theirs that I don't really like. Worked out pretty well for me, I must say.
  23. Sure I read somewhere that Toy were on hiatus. My imagination?
  24. Excellent mate, eyes will be peeled until then!
