Bigsby
It's a good film, Nicholas Cage isn't good in it though The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences would disagree with you on that one.Mind you, they thought Dances With Wolves was better than Goodfellas, so they are clearly cunts. Lemonade
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences would disagree with you on that one.Mind you, they thought Dances With Wolves was better than Goodfellas, so they are clearly cunts. They also gave Braveheart a best picture Oscar when it's clearly a load of shite. And it was in the same year that Toy Story, The Usual Suspects and Casino all came out, all of which are far superior films.Cunts.
Captain America
I always think that Nic Cage is either really good or really bad. I've never watched one of his films and thought, meh he was ok.He is great in Face Off though. Con Air anyone? Silly, but ace!
Lemonade
He's terrible in Ghost Rider, but that could because it's a total pile of dick.
Murrr
You're not wrong. I think this might actually be Nic Cage's only good film...Come on. Don't tell me that his remake of The Wicker Man isn't the best thing committed to film in the past 20 years?
flyingsinatra
Come on. Don't tell me that his remake of The Wicker Man isn't the best thing committed to film in the past 20 years? Ok I retract my previous statement, Nicholas Cage has just become my all time favourite actor. That video is unquestionably 2 minutes of pure joy."Not the Beeeeeees!!" flyingsinatra
No, this is the greatest performance Nicolas Cage has ever given Damnit I never thought I'd see the day, who knew Cage had it in him. Such passion, such rage...
Dianne
just started watching the black dahlia. it's not doing a huge amount for me so far, which is a shame, because the case is actually really interesting.
RossP
I hate Nic Cage as an actor, but will make an exception for Gone in Sixty Seconds and The Rock
Alan Cynic
agreed....I like The Rock, Con Air, Face Off, Peggy Sue got married, and the one where he's a high-flying businessman who suddenly gets swapped into a family man living in suburbia. ca_gere
Raising Arizona aint too bad either. On another note, I watched the legendary Shane Meadow's Somers Town last night. It's only about an hour long and feels like a low-budget student film but it's every bit as good as his other films. It's about the friendship between a Polish kid and a northern scally kid who meet each other in London. It's got naturalistic, funny dialogue and some excellent 'non-acting' performances, plus an incredibly fit foreign chick. thumbs up all round. Alkaline
Today i saw:The Orphanage- I hate scary children, this film was full of them especially that sack faced boy I was just about tearing my skin off and it wasn't even particularly scary. The end reminded me a little of the end of Silent Hill. The film was good overall, it's a pity they're giving it the "Hollywood makeover" treatment.Rambo III- Meathead no nonsense man-film. I love the bit where he takes on the tanks on a horse. Brilliant in HD as well.Watchmen- I really enjoyed it, my ladyfriend wasn't as keen though. Visually it was stunning and the soundtrack was awesome but the story did drag a little and the ending was a little annoying. I liked the grittyness of it and Rorschach was awesome in a hard-boiled, tough-talking PI sort of way. Silk Spectre was stunning as well. Doctor Manhattan's schlong was probably the funniest piece of blue circumcised meat i will ever see in my life. Thank fuck they put pants on the guy when he was supersized otherwise it would have been epically overwhelming screentime-wise. This will be a definite purchase when it comes out on Blu Ray as far as i'm concerned.

Afro Droid
This will be a definite purchase when it comes out on Blu Ray as far as i'm concerned. There's all sorts of super-jazz planned for the DVD release. I imagine there'll be a director's cut that'll clock in at about 5 hours (it has the pirate comic animie piece cut into the film). Also talk of a theatrical re-release of the full version of the film. Which is good, because they cut so much good shit out towards the end. Hopefully we'll get the proper ending from the book too....
DJ Jo-D
Watched Meet the parents again at the weekend, I like Ben Stiller in some of his films (loved zoolander) but this film was just so predictable and cringe worthy it kinda pissed me off...if you get that...yet I still watched it. Remake alert - Lady vengance!!
