*Amy*
Also, Antimaniax. Perhaps the one and only time I'll see them. I think The X-certs supported and took the majority of people over to the Lemon Tree where I think Alyssa's Wish were playing. Whatever it was, about 15 people were left watching Antimaniax, who were brilliant. Not surprised they haven't been back to Scotland since. Steven Milne
supporting editors with the little kicks was a personal highlight and great memory for mealthough im not a big fan now of their new stuffat the stage they were at then they were awesomewatching then soundcheck there was something clearly theregood night out after tooapart from that i can vaguely remember: ltj bukem, peshay, grandmaster flash, goldie (who handed bottles of jack into the crowd for everyone to share if i remember right)many others but my brain is stuck when i try to remember who played
The Ghost Of Fudge
just remembered: i have happy memories of playing Kef with ALTROCK TM many many years ago. it was the only gig we ever played. we took oil drums and a sledgehammer onstage with us. that might be why... Chi 666
they might have got some more business if they promoted gigs, not just stick one posted outside. hated that place.my only good memory was when it was Radars. got me some good munch back then. eat your parents
My favourite memory was beng banned from there when playing in a "New York sounding" band. That place was bad, and it wasn't helped by the promoter.

Guest Neutral
it really was terrable:down:Did you get rejected? I suppose they only booked bands who could actually play and not just make noise! On a side note they are apparently extending it into the car park
Stripey
seems most who didn't like it weren't going to the clubnights.
Scootray
But then that was probably due to them not liking it during the other nights, and thinking that it would be exactly the same. The clubnights could have been awesome for all I know, but I only went once anyway and that was to a Reuben gig I think, so I can't comment on it being shit or not. Stripey
I always went there for the 11-3 nights, I've never been earlier that to see live bands or anything. The only live stuff I've seen there really was the midweek jazz thing upstairs. It doesn't take a genius to work out that it's a totally different atmosphere though after 11, Kef was in it's element as a club in that respect. Pierre Von Mondragon
Actually Aphrodite was great in '99 and even a slightly reduced Quannum were excellent, particularly as I couldn't get enough of 'Spectrum' at the time, Lyrics Born was ace. eat your parents
seems most who didn't like it weren't going to the clubnights. There were club nights? I thought those were sessions where the attendees was violated up the ass and forced to run what was known as the "gauntlet".My mistake. djricochet
Sad to hear Kef is closing, i think by far the best time clubbing in Aberdeen was when Kef was Glow 303. Mouse
I didn't go much when it was Kef, but back in the Lava days I was there all the time. So many good memories and saw so many good local bands

Le Stu
Evening Express - Underground club to shut downI like how they called it a drum And bass venue, even though that's not exactly accurate. BTW, does anyone know where Jungle Nation is going?
KimyReizeger
Yeah, but not everyone gives a toss about geeky sub-genres. Calling it an underground drum and bass venue conveys everything old women need to know - it's a place that young people go to that they don't understand and should probably stay away from (cuz if they did go, I'd batter 'em).
Le Stu
It is literally underground. Well, most of it. Not sure if I can agree with your comments concerning old women. Moar cougars in the jungle, IMO!
