Guest bluesxman
That 'What Are You Going To Do With Your Life' was the last Bunnymen album I bought, I refuse to touch anything else since because it was so bad. Mind you Evergreen was pretty rank too on the whole. Did anyone else think Electrafixion were kinda OK or is that just me?I agree that early Simple Minds were OK, Waterfront was a good tune, Sparkle In The Rain track I think?Have The Vaselines been mentioned?Isobel Campbell, I hate Belle And Sebastian but love her solo stuff. IronMonkey
it really is! And not enough people are prepared to stand up and say, "I like Simple Minds!" just becuase they have done everything humanly possible to make themselves completely unlikeable."New Gold Dream" was the end really....although there's a few songs on "Sparkle in the Rain" that are quite good.New Gold Dream is my favourite album of all time I would say Sparkle in the Rain is there worst album. My favourite Scottish bands/ Artists (in no order)Simple MindsGunThe SkidsBig CountryFishJJ Gilmour

Guest Steven Dedalus
they released a live album and did a reunion gig sometime this year, i think.Gah! I knew about the live album, but I thought that was from ages ago!!!I will keep my eyes open in future. I loved them, you know. And to Bluesxplosionman (or whatever it is...) "Evergreen" was ok. You are wrong. Ha ha ha!But seriously, it was guff and you're right. Although, to be honest, Electrafixion were awful as well.I always thought that the Bunnymen without McCullough got a raw deal. That album had it's moments, and the singer was from Belfast! I met him not too long ago, and he was a lovely guy, if that counts for anything. Unlike McCullough, who was not in good form the last time he played in my fair city. Also, I can't believe I forgot the Vaselines and Bert Jansch! I will kill myself immediately. That's because Ian McCullough is and always has been a twat. It was just easier to ignore when he made decent music.
