Old Gold
Malcolm Middleton's A Brighter Beat is probably the only album that's really struck me as 'best of the year' material.Despite being pretty great, Bright Eyes' new one was a bit of a let down in regard to what I was expecting, as was the Willy Mason record. The fact that both follow on from a couple of truely magnificent albums probably doen't help their case.

The fact that both follow on from a couple of truely magnificent albums probably doen't help their case.I've only bought about 4, two of which being the Middleton and Bright Eyes albums, which are both not bad, and the other two being Bloc Party and Manics which are both pretty poor. I'm just waiting for the new National album to be my album of the year. I'll probably get round to buying Modest Mouse too and there are few other albums i've still to check out.
