Mew - Mew and the Glass Handed Kites (although it's really their fourth album, just their second international release)

British Sea Power - Open Season

Saul Williams - Saul Williams

Rilo Kiley - More Adventurous (is tha right?)

The Mars Volta - Frances the Mute

Antony and the Johnsons - I Am a Bird Now

Malcolm Middleton - Into the Woods

Sons and Daughters - The Repulsion Box

Pretty good year for second albums.

I've just listened to two second albums.' date=' and they're ace.

Reuben - Very Fast Very Dangerous is the follow up to their awesome first album

InMe - White Butterfly - Is brillaint and follows up the rather bland (but likeable) debut album

What other second albums of 2005 are great? Discuss.[/quote']

I saw InMe live the other week. really good stuff :D had only heard of them untill then, so them play and thought they were ace! might get their albums

Non, More Adventurous is their third album, with 'Take-Offs and Landings' being their first and 'The Execution of All Things' being their second.

It could have been a worse guess though, when I saw them in Edinburgh the woman beside me kept insisting that More Adventurous was their first album.

Back on topic, I can think of loads of good second albums, but not very many from this year.

"Do any of you boys have THE album?"

None then. Went by the title of the thread and never noticed the 2005 proviso in the first post. Others appear to have done the same. Woop de doo.

I'm pretty sure Iowa was their second album' date=' since "Mate, Feed, Kill, Repeat" was an EP and therefore not considered an "album". And would also explain why their latest album had "Vol.3" in the title.

So, 'Mon the Hog![/quote']

Nope MFKR is an album, they just kind of neglect it due to it being a different line up and not the same style of music as the other 3 Slipknot albums.

Screw you Hog, 'Mon the Dechristianise!

ps Looking forward to seeing the MIGHTY SPIKE PILE DRIVER in Elgin on saturday
