Guest Tam o' Shantie
How can people be so gullable as to like this shit? Utterly appalling.
groovy
they kinda look like franz ferdinand, and sound like them a wee bitty as well.I was sent a promotional copy of their album, haven't gotten round to listening to it yet, dunno if I want to... bestink
The trouble is their stupid songs get stuck in your head, well they get stuck in mine. o_O
jonty84
To be honest, I first heard 'I Predict A Riot' on Zane Lowe's show in December of last year and thought it was fucking awesome. Superb chorus. So I was loving them for a while, then I heard 'Oh My God' and felt let down. EXACTLY the same build up to the chorus' used in both songs, and its just such a crap song. I was so pissed off, thought the next single would be brilliant, especially cause a mate incorrectly informed me that 'Little Thoughts' by Bloc Party was actually by the Kaisers just after I heard 'I Predict A Riot'.Mike
allstardawn
they were awesome supporting the ordinary boys last may at kef. i remember first hearing oh my god last year on zane lowe's show & i fell in love with it. but now they've re-released it, i've got a feeling i may become bored of it.. Guest idol_wild
Tom, I think you're right.Having heard their album it's very safe to say that I Predict A Riot is the only semi-strong song on the album. It's an indie dancefloor tune, or choon, whatever you may prefer. The remainder of the album is so bland. The thing that irks me most of all about Kaiser Chiefs is that they could have been a decent pop band, had they signed to the right label. The label have really rushed them to overwhelming extremes, and the fact of the matter is: if they had been given, say, another six months to a year of solid practicing and live shows, they'd be better at playing live, better at writing songs, and just better musicians generally. They'd have been a better band. The same can be said of The Killers (although I believe half of their album is exceptional), and even Bloc Party to an extent. From what I've seen and heard live of Bloc Party, they have quite a long way to come in terms of live performances. They sound pretty big on record, though. Ross
I predict a Riot was actually released on Drowned In Sound records....As was The Cribs....Kaiser Chiefs were Moshulu's tip for the tops in December last year.

Paranoid Android
two singles aren't bad, i've heard oh my god a few too many times now, but i can stil lenjoy it. I' not tempted to gte the album though. Still better than many similar bands around just now.
threeornothing
Being subjected to the radio every day at work (SOMETHING I HATE ) I hear them a lot, "Oh My God" makes me think the same, some of the other stuff is ok, I like the bass playing on one of the songs, bit more interesting than other stuff on the radio... calum
Aye, that's new music cribbed straight from the late seventies and not done particularly well at that.To be honest, I can take listening to them easier than I can take the rest of the bollocks that's on the radio. Laxton's Superb
i copied the album, and gave the copy away as it was simply dreadful...all their songs follow the same pattern, a one trick pony if ever there was one, that wailing before every bloody chorus!!!!! so annoying!!! Darth Elvis
I can't stand this band, singer wants to be Damon from Blur and they sound awful.

threeornothing
One trick ponies are ten a penny these days...I heard a Jet song on TV the other day which is just a faster version of "are you gonna be my girl"...same fucking guitar riff just played faster and then played further up the fretboard, same chorus too....cool tune like, but come awn.. Daniel
i like them although the frontman looks like the guy from blur, he fucked his body up last week on the american tour when his flying kick into the drums went wrong
Payback the chicken
I think their a decent band, its not a classic but still quite a good album, next single 'Everyday I love you less and less' definitely different from 'I predict a riot' and 'Oh my God'
threeornothing
Actualy it was Kasabian who had the cool bass riff, t'chiefs just suck full stop
suzywoo
They're one of those bands that sounded good when I first heard them but after seeing them on the tv and hearing them on the radio all the time they don't do it for me anymore. I wouldn't buy their album but I'll watch them at T in the Park and see what they're like live.
