Shaki
A little different than the 'Last Film You Watched' thread. What films should I hire out? Old new, blockbuster or indie gem. Thought this might have been done previously but can't find it. Go!

kirkt
I've only seen two of the films mentioned so far: Carlito's Way and Night of the Hunter but would highly recommend both, especially Night of the Hunter! Not really an obscure film, but Gran Torino is one of my favourite films ever. It's similar in plot to Harry Brown (an old war veteran gets even with kids of today) but lacks the over the top violence and isn't grim for the sake of grim. Really funny in some parts and one of my favourite movie relationships between Clint and the kid

Soda Jerk
I've just got a Lovefilm account, but when I go browsing, I draw a blank. I'm after funny stuff. Recommend comedies. Good comedies. Not ones where Eddie Murphy plays all the characters.
