KarmaTsunami
No Deftones, KarmaT?to be honest with you, i was considering putting it on the disappointments thread. some of the songs on there are kick ass, but some are pretty lacklustre in my opinion. but, i'm giving it a chance by listening to it exclusively this coming week. so who knows where it'll end up after that! Guest Kilgore Trout
dont know if they are "great" albums but this year i went all squiffy ear-wise onPGMG's elan vitalBlack Heart Procession- spell**actually i think its a classic.Melvins- Senile animali have played the Project ven hell cd to death so it makes the list.did Sleater Kinneys last cd come out this year or last? fuck, it i like it. shame they split up.Chris Brokaws incredible love is a great album, but that might have been december last year.buggers i'm not very good at this.hee!i listened to the Flaming Lips album twice, i think i only like the idea of the flaming lips nowadays rather than actually listening to them...i also really liked that Maximo Park album for about a week.oh, the Lemonheads LP is good as well.1-2-3 by the howling hex is also good.Blood Brothers new one is tidy too.but, the Black heart procession wins.smashing. KarmaTsunami
sleater-kinney was last year, but it was so good it deserves to be counted this year too.
Swingin' Ryan
This thread is crap unless it has strict rules.Haha, brilliant! Where's the fucking structure guys?!It's like you're all just chatting about albums you like without laying down a proper set of rules and guidelines. It's not the 1960's...let's cut this wild hippy free thought and get some proper regulations on this thread.

It's not the 1960's...let's cut this wild hippy free thought and get some proper regulations on this thread.Ok, witty sarcasm aside...It's true though. Most people like every album they buy. Generally you buy an album because you a)like the artist anyway b)have heard it/some of it to know you like therefore buy it. Remember, I said GENERALLY! You have people who are basically listing every fucking record they bought...whats the point in that? If we stuck to one it makes people think. It creates further discussion rather than listening to someone witter on about ten albums they bought this year. Challenge yourself and what opthers may think of you by NAMING ONE! And dont even have "honourable mentions." That's Gay. This year has been an awesome year for me album wise and it would be hard to do, which is what makes going through all the albums you loved this year more of a challenge to bring it down to one. blairsea
Cult of Luna - Somewhere Along the Highway.Brilliant album. They still sound huge and metal as f@*k but have more layers and can take it down beautifully whilst still being very dark.Very impressive:headbang:
