i know but i said clean drive crunch. like basically not a 'solo' channel is what i'm saying. like clean/drive/more drive. the modern three chanel tube amps ie. engl, mesa etc. seem to do it. maybe i'm just not looking down the right avenues or not understanding.

the record good? would have loved to see the show like. Beth, The Flatlands EP is pretty good. Their sound doesn't come across quite aswell as on record, but still is pretty good... and 3!!

Behringers launch into the tube amp market. They look respectable at least... style a lot like the high-end engls, with a super low price tag. Anybody tried one? i'll admit i was quite drawn in at first, but i'm getting more sceptical. The way this amp (and heaps of others) are advertised/marketed its like they are all built solely for metal - 'clean/crunch/lead'. NO amps ever seem to do something like a 'clean/overdrive/crunch' which would be of tonnes more benefit to me and i'm sure a lot of other folk too.

at work my work i fell for many things... the worst and first being an entire roleplay in which a colleague informed me someone had complained about a mess in the girls toilets... i went in to find a nappy with 'shite' smeared all over a cubicle. after preparing my self to clean up (wellies, mask, gloves, disinfectent etc etc) that same colleague came along and looked at me briefly before shetook a fingerful off the cubicle of it and ate it... chocolate spread. did wonder why it didnt smell. this was of course before i realised what day it was, im a sucker. follwed by tomato soup in the glass cleaner and ink all over my face due to it being on the telephone reciever. EDIT: also, baby lotion on the high chairs on pool side. very nearly caused my death.

its the speed at which they go up. a whole neighbourhood of houses going up in a month? how is that comforting? and roundabouts EVERYWHERE!

the bass sounds like a burp or a tummy rumble, dark sounding. i actually don't mind the tune as a whole though, even if theres not much to it from wehat i can hear.

Yes Koss are awesome. I have a massive pair of electrostatic things and they sound amazing. I had a pair of sennheisers i got with my Rio player a while ago and they were great. the cable was a bit short though... strange.

is a lot of it not down to what your playing it through ie. a CD through your computer into some crappy aiwa speakers compared to like a separate amp CD deck and vinyl deck, the latter will make all the difference whether its vinyl or CD or mp3 etc. i play my music through some decent old school amp and decent speakers, one channel from my computer (with no D/A converter - from my little knowledge i think thats what you do) straight to the amp and it sounds great. I do run my deck direct into the amp and although i think it sounds marginally better, that is probably only due to the whole process... i'll take the music however it comes though.. mp3 download, CD, vinyl, but i appreciate it on a slab of plastic the most. i think it would be cool if you bought the vinyl then were able to get maybe the mp3 download aswell purely for practicality: listening to it in the car on ipod/mix CD etc. if i got a vinyl press i'd be most inclined to do it that way.

just to see if theres any interest in a big sounding mid-90's emo/screamo thang. influences for the current idea would probably be suis la lune, kolya, (a less violent) cease upon the capitol and the twilight sad. this is just i kind of current idea, but i'm into lots of other rock orientated stuff like isis, meet me in st. louis, botch, dillinger, circle takes the square, enablers, envy, explosions, glassjaw, CONVERGE, hope con etc etc. so nothing really is out of the question. again this is just to see if there is any/provoke interest.

this looks suspiciously like the thread you posted about enablers... this can only be a good thing. go for it!

do moogerfooger not do some sort of ridiculously over sized pretentious noise making pedal. there dead dear though. soundy have a few in i think. the line 6 is worth a shot. they do the whole violin bow swell plus a bunch of other cool delays and a loop thing. it doesn't affect your tone too much as it is just a delay pedal.

yeah, say 20 for the bass amp. If you buy the Line 6 and the Mirrobass together i'll give you it for 110? is there nothing else you want to buy...? its not worth a lot on its own. that way i can give it to you for free. =]

if this is a good as enablers this week will turn out excellent... black channels, enablers, kartta, twilight sad, flatlands, montana, kaddish + possibly archives.
