  1. i got a flyer for this at olafur arnalds. listening to the myspace all sounds like good stuff. may try to make an appearance. i really like peacock. the visuals and stuff are cool as hell.
  2. its nae radio as such but BigScaryMonsters the record label have a couple of podcasts you can access via their website. Al Chivers on Leith FM sundays 2-4. Have yet to remember to listen, but his playlists are good like.
  3. no no you are correct. i think someone said they will be picking the select instrumentals, not necessarily the best songs, which will make it even more interesting.
  4. aye that bits lovely. nice catchy vocal hook. nothing better than when the intro 'opens up' after the bass and snare do their 'ratta tat tats' together though. just b e a u. you people must come see this band. after purchasing the album. only 4. if anyone is interested in a support slot pm one of us please.

can this make 'glitchy' drum sounds like in computer music, or is it just for recording and recreating beats?
  6. duhduh doo doo doo do.do.do that song is a gem. for me its a toss up between that 'the torso was severed at mid-thorax' or 'einz vrei drei hasselhoff' for my favourite. saying that 'I've got knives in my eyes...' is peachy. hell, they're all really good.
  7. MySpace.com - MEET ME IN ST LOUIS new tour dates up!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Guildford, Surrey, UK, UK - Progressive / Indie / Punk - www.myspace.com/meetmeinstlouis MySpace.com - blakfish - Birmingham, UK - www.myspace.com/blakfish
  8. is E going DOWN to G not going to create slackness? Its like is it not like 9 semitones?! what are 6 string basses tuned to?
  9. bump... hope there will be a lot of folk at this. Meet Me In St. Louis are amazing.
  10. the person selling one in the trading post has sparked interest. they are tuned to BEADG as standard, correct? my band tune CGCFAD. I find even with heavier gauge strings my strings are bit slack on a 4-string. is there any tunings i could use that would work with the guitars... could you tune it up? or is a step and a half too much of a push for the high strings? there will be no standard tuning... please do not suggest!
  11. the other night was playing a gig. turned on distortion. fedback. blown speaker (i believe).

so... we're allowed to book stuff in the CellAr again? even if its a 'hardcore' show?
  13. Me and ross are going to EitS too... and we are putting it on! and avast! are someone we would like to play definetly... just waiting for replies etc etc. I'm getting there! Variations on Swing is incredible. Shall expect you up the front with me and my comrades then; singing along!
  14. oooft... hopefully get my TC out tonight too. look forward to hearing what the actual T bass distortion sounds like. when you buy TC you enter a whole new world of tone... our guitarist just bought a NOVA delay. smart. as. fuck.
  15. Bands come between 730 and 8 People come a bit later than it states... 830 if you can. 8 is fine though. you can chill. First band on about 9. I'm excited. Shall see any of you that are coming there.
  16. tried my bass through the TC distortion... sounds mint. Adds quite a thick distortion, but keeps the low end. if you've ever used the metal zone on a bass its kind of like that, but less fizzy and has more low end. The only problem i'm having is with levels at the moment. So i'd recommend either the TC vintage Distortion or Dual Distortion, assuming that the dual has the same sound as the single. how is this sounding by the way?
  17. i feel i should get to this as they've inspired me to turn up my gain too much and play triplets on my A string like there is no tomorrow. great fun... beats revising anyhow.
  18. ya beast. so chuffed we got this. hopefully get some cracking support too. i missed MMISL last time so this should hopefully make up for it. Have to get my hands on the lyrics sheet though... with Toby leaving and all. should be a good night. poster in the coming week.
  19. i was really impressed with the tracks on myspace and had a couple of days where i listened to them over and over. still need to get the 7" - it is only 3.50 euros from any good distro. nae excuse. and i was disappointed that they've added to the list of bands that i will never see live =[
  20. salivating with anticipation. i might get down to this... sounds good. the only thing that put me off was when i heard 'jizzed on her face'. nae cool. voice reminds me of eugene from oxbow a bit.
  21. that is kack man. i'm gutted i'm nae seeing wpw, feint and kaddish either. but i do get to play and watch two other great bands that night.
  22. cellos are cool. but maybe not. 4 days!! please speak up if you'd like to purchase a ticket/some tickets MySpace.com - Fault & Fracture - Aberdeen, UK - Ambient / Screamo / Shoegaze - www.myspace.com/faultandfractureuk
