GAK is 734 and thomann 712. its ridiculous. so just to be sure: ALL new ampegs can be rewired to take power supplies in this country? this is what your saying.

I just got a TC dual distortion which is quite nice. I reckon it would sound gorgeous through a valve amp. i've seen them for around 95. i got mine for 67 You could just get 2 RATs if you wanted, they're mega versatile. just have one set with a low drive and one high. means you have the option of changing where the filter is. im sure you could get both of them for under 100 bucks.

i saw those. the description sounded pretty cool, but i didnt want to take the risk, fill me in on how the sound! yeah i got a new tc electronic dual distortion for my guitar that i'm planning on trying out on my bass. its got similar controls to the rat, but may actually be better suited to bass as its a lot thicker (can get a bit muddy on guitar like). will try the rat at some point though.

i emailed the ampeg boy and he said they all come with multi tap transformers. LIES! Dennis said that he had an SVT4 in last week that had space on the board for one but there wasn't one wired in. Anywhere closer to aberdeen?

i was expecting the customs tax as i've been hit with that little bugger on numerouds occasions! included in my calculations. still works out a good bit cheaper than buying it over here. i just phoned emerson williams and the guy said that some of the ampeg heads don't have 'export transformers' therefore can't be rewired. eugh

was thinking of ordering my bass head from the USA. over there they use 110V (as far as i'm aware) and over here we use 230V. do i need to change that? is there anybody in/around aberdeen that knows how to? cheers

we're nae really bothered how we're described. i'd much rather people came open-minded and decided for themselves. i'd probably describe us as pacey, heavy shoegaze with some screamo influence. band-wise probably talking ISIS (oceanic/panopticon), Deftones and Funeral Diner/Envy. so looking forward to playing too.
