  1. certainly is. i think the pointiness of your headstock increases the more metal you are. get the pics of this double neck thing up...
  2. In a drunken state Oli Sykes once told a Kerrang journalist that "[bring Me the Horizon] are over-rated, our EP was shit, and kids only like us because of my hair".... Courtesy of Wikipedia. Oli seems to have hit it right on the nose. It would seem the only reason he is in a band at all i because of his hair. Grade A Tard.
  3. Aye The End were mint last night. Floor tom banging and everything. Loved it. Their sound was excellent. I was more impressed when i realised both guitarists were playing (what looked like) mid-range Epiphones which from my experience don't always sound too hot. I reckon the Oceansize show will be pretty packed with Hopesfall supporting too. Should hope so.
  4. any idea when Nile are playing? I want to see the guy with the skullet and also the pointiest headstock IN THE WORLD. KXK Guitars - Hand Made in the USA

I've just watched all those Andy Mckee videos on YouTube. He really IS the boy.
  6. The End did play... pleasantly surprised.

Love's Holiday When I went down to see ISIS (YHAAAAS!) wi ma pals a band called Love's Holiday were supporting. It was just 2 Oxbow members (vocalist and guitarist - with a Martin) playing acoustic songs. Occasionally, during the set, my gaze was drawn from the huge frontman (who was by the way stripping and having a VERY public 'me time' on stage) to the guitarist. He was playing in DADGBD. His change from playing 'rhythm' parts to more lead orientated parts was pretty cool and he made good (and tasteful) use of harmonics. due to my tonally inept ear i havnt worked much out. but it's good stuff nonetheless.
  8. so you built a cool as fuck pedal board then broke it in half...? or was the guitar case board one some one else? either way one MASSIVE one makes you look way cooler and rockstar like. think like a rockstar.

Line 6 Spider II 112 (75W) Guitar Amp. 4 user presets. 6 drive types. 6 effects + dedicated reverb. Good for first amp or for playing small gigs. 2-button footswitch inc. No Box. I think I have instructions, have to have a root around. Selling to fund a bass cab. Will be playing through a tiny Marshall 10w if i sell this so obviously reluctant to part with it. Because of this I'm not gonna put a price I'll just open up to offers. Only ever used at home. Bought at the horrendous price of 240. I think they are going for 150 now. Ibanez Weeping Demon WD-7. Boxed. Controls include Level, Q, LO, Range Switch, Range Fine Tuning Knob, Auto-Off Delay Knob. Runs on 9V battery or 9V power supplies. Get a bunch of 'killer' wah sound out of this including JD Crybaby. Hardly used. Bought for 90. Going for 79 these days. Say 60? Got some other stuff including Peavey Microbass Practice Amp, Peavey Milestone Bass. Some cheap stuff thats good for people want to learn bass. Also got a Behringer Digital Reverb. Got some other stuff that i've forgotten about. i'll post it if it springs to mind. Cheers Huw
  10. Yeah there good. i think i'm just gonna get the full length off iTunes (BOOOO!). but i may purchase the 7". start a bit of a vinyl thing maybe. you know where you could get that from? ebay be the best bet? LOGS ooof. also awesome. i like this heavier stuff. i'm nae tooo sure bout the Dame... band. there listenable. i just don't enjoy it like the other two. Kolya seems more peaceful compared to LOGS' heavyness. The other band feel like there almost caught in the middle. groundhog... was just too long for me. felt like it's feet were dragging. keep us filled in about the band. definetly like to come and see you play if you were in town. if you still havn't found a bassist in a while and i get a bass rig together i might be persuaded to join. if anyone in aberdeen has any sort of decent music taste it shouldn't come to that!
  11. Thomann cyberstore is in Germany and usually has ok prices - the majority being cheaper than the equivilant over here. I'm nae sure whether it'll match US prices, but they're really reliable and have HUGE ranges of equipment (incl. turntables etc.). I think there's a 30 money back guarantee on virtually everything. Although i only got credit for what the item was worth when i returned something. emmm... yeah shipping costs about a tenner for pretty much anything, free over like 200 euro though. The only disadvantage is that tax or VAT or god knows what has apparently gone up, so things aren't as cheap as they used to be. these people should pay me a salary i feel. Welcome - U.K. International Cyberstore
  12. speaking of MCR's new single (teenagers i believe); which, in my opinion, is gross. have they taken the 'dad rock' out of the 12 bar blues and injected it with some "gothic edged - American hard rock"? if it is, it would be quite ironic really, as it would be solid evidence (for those who don't yet believe) that MCR are utter shite
  13. that was the best hour ive spent in about a week. i put off going for a piss the entire time though, which, in light of how much this made me laugh was probably not bright. in regards to 'greatest threads ever'; im in favour of it. I do recommend that 'doughy, slightly ageing hussy' has her own forum on the Trading Post though. Or create a groupie forum. That caters for all fetishes (including disease ridden bathroom sex) and sexual preferences. Sparkles could moderate. ps. that is a heroic post. truly heroic.
  14. that Kolya link... thank you. i dig. what are they doing with only 166 profile views? madness. i hope you dudes get this shit together because im just trawling through listening to clips of the bands you've listed, (as i havn't heard of about nine tenths of them) and they're fucking brilliant. if i wasnt in a band (and had this kind of song writing ability) i would lend my services.
  15. I think setting up a place dedicated to practicing that does have residential rooms as well as rooms for 'one off' practices is a good idea. The residentials would definetly save the hassle of an attempt of contact with the council for an industrial unit. It'd also save the constant karting of gear back and forth from band members houses etc. In regards to the 'one off' rooms; it's still a good idea. Whether you think you can compete with the competition considering location/price etc is your choice. It's always good for bands who don't have their own equipment. Such as mine. We take it seriously, we're just poor/unemployed/currently saving. Basically if you get gear in these rooms where the drums don't sound like Heinz Baked Bean tins and amps that don't fizz like a freshly opened can of Coke (which in the other places has happened) a band that gives a crap about their sound will make the effort.
  16. is this any of this lovely merchandise still 'up for grabs'?
  17. Devil Sold His Soul - A Fragile Hope Pelican- The Fire In Our Throats... PTW - You Come Before You The Bled - Found In The Flood I'm in love with the DSHS album... superb night driving music. And the sound on the on the PTW record is brutal enough to decapitate a small animal, just what you want from it. The Bled is The Bled, good fun to listen to. some nice wee guitar hooks and stuff. The Pelican is meant to be amazing. But i was quite disappointed with how samey it is. It is a good listen, i just expected more... like on par with ISIS' Panopticon. meh
  18. Good job. It still does sound a bit too much like 'At Least Your Not Dead' (i think) to me and the vocals still havn't won me over, but it's played faultlessly, and i'm certain the units will shift like you hope them to. My favourite Weapon song is still the original Cpt. Tom's recording of '...Kokura' though. oooft.
  19. what make/model is the cab? is it a 8 ohm cab aswell?
