  1. thats gorgeous. i've heard of so many bands use this as a clean channel and a separtae amp for a distortion... who would blame them?
  2. yes... i see graham can play cello. i haven't seen that utilized in Katerwaul. it really should be. im excited for this. hopefully the sound will be good too. we've never been able to get the vocal p.a so we can actually hear the vox though... mainly because we have no idea how to set it up. :S any one handy with one? theres free cider (unless your an edge type) in it for you.

    Vocal range!

really? i see. so most singers are working with what: an octave and a half? i have noticed she has no power in the high stuff... but it does sound pretty. what does matt bellamy have then? i heard he was like 8 too. he has a good range regardless and power in the high stuff from what i can hear.
  4. heroine. if you can give us names to chuck on the back that'd be grand.
  5. seconded... we want to make it a good night so it can happen again. maybe even get some out of town bands up for it too. and they'll be few of us out on the lash after. there is NO excuse!
  6. there is one with your name on it. 3 tax. yes yes... unless you drink cider in which case you can drink for free!

    is that like a falsetto?
  8. i can give you a box with all the orner spongey bits too.

    Vocal range!

jesus. he only (!) has four and a half octaves though. i heard mariah had 8 or something... that MUST be bollocks then no?
  10. meet me in st. louis jairus?
  11. Katerwaul are quality. Really good. there is a thread about latitudes in the music discussion somewhere who from what ive heard are quite ISIS/Cult of Luna like. If you like all that Rosetta pretty much are isis so worth having a listen. Sika Redem too. possibly *shels too. They don't like being described as post rock- but the ocean fracture are worth a listen - although their new choons don't dip into the post rock as much as the oldies. I find more mellow screamo can be nice to post rock ears too. Envy and (nearer to home) Archives do it well.
  12. yeah, heard some of the clips. seems quite standard post-rock/metal from what i've heard, but good nontheless!
  13. yes. they do. depends what your listening to. they have produced some howlers like. most of the pre-miss machine stuff was 'crazy' relative to straight forward macho-hardcore, but if you listen to psyopus etc. its probably pretty tame. also, people who say music is 'crazy' and don't state an actual reason to why they like it/it is good, apart from the fact its crazy, probably aren't worth your time. i really don't like the idea of listening to certain type of music because its REALLY fast or REALLY slow or REALLY heavy. thats why i don't like/'get' most doom or grind. I wouldn't say Dillinger are gimmicky in that sense, probably why i do like them.
  14. 5th of January I'm going to be annoying and post this in here, but there will be a gig in Captain Tom's at the aforementioned date. Clearer the Sky Katerwaul Fault and Fracture 3. At the moment you need tickets
  15. just go... you'll most likely get in, unless you look incrdibly young. i am obsessed with Juliet Kilo's track on their myspace. I'll try get myself and a few guys down.
  16. correct!!! by the way, clarifying that i wasn't having a go... just this is the music discussion, thought id attempt to discuss!
  17. so we can have tickets with your names on them then? thank you again.
  18. i don't know. bullet are bad like, but there is a different between doing a good job of shit music and a shit job of shit music... B4MV seem to be very good at churning out over-produced cheesy metal twat. saying that, i wouldn't touch'em.
  19. i havnt heard anything about that. i only heard about a Glasgow date, where did you hear this.? listened to Panasonic Youth again for the gajillionth time. never gets old. Chris Pennie's drumming is gorgeous. its heavy but he brings heaps of grooves etc (can you tell im not a drummer). just lovely. from what i've heard of the new album it doesnt take me by surprise, really need to get my hands on it to give a valid review though. though there is a video on youtube of party smasher or nong eye gong and its really good.
  20. oh thats awful. the vocalist reminds me of Robb Flynn when he went through that nu-metal phase.
  21. is there an aberdeen music banner that can be put on myspace etc?
  22. i think i'll know someone that'll take it.... the other speaker will work thoug yes?
  23. See thats what i was told by Dino from ampeg too. But as i mentioned before the lad from emerson williams got an svt4 in not long ago and there was the space on the board for this but it wasnt there. or something to that effect anyway. Just dont know if id want to risk it! But im probably just being a grippy bastard though.
