  1. Are you still looking? I could be into this... I have gear that sounds good. I'd just need to fix my distortion pedal. 0702562[at]rgu[dot]ac[dot]uk
  2. I'll take the Joyo Drive please!
  3. I know this is the only hip hop artist, but has anybody listened to the new Aesop Rock album - Skelethon? Few tracks in, the production is mad good. The second song has a definite loose RjD2 feel about the drums. Great.
  4. Enjoyed that. The breakdown kills - lazy comparisons to YFM-era Converge. I was holding out for a noisey guitar solo at the end though! Are there more in the bag from that session?
  5. Ross is a true playa, and you will get a zillion times better recording for a splash more than you'd pay a day in Tom's.
  6. I've got a pair of these that I'm looking to get shot of: http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/product/34120-fender-platinum-series-12-guitar-cable.html They're rugged buggers that cost me £45 each from RNB (I was desparate for some cables that wouldn't break!).I've found some that are a little longer and more suited to my general clumsiness in a live situation. £18 each, £30 the pair? I realise this is expensive for cables, but if you are interested hit me up on huwATgurdenDOTgotadslDOTcoDOTuk. Ta
  7. Finally got round to listening to this. Has been crushing so far. Really enjoying it. Enjoy the tour.
  8. - KADDISH - This band need no introductions. One of the best active screamo bands in Europe, if not the world. Based in Dundee. FFO: Kaddish. http://autumnjams.bandcamp.com/album/s-t-lp - CAVALCADES - Local emo/hardcore/screamo band. This is the first show of a UK tour for us, and hopefully a release show for a new split 7". FFO: Comadre, Raein, Life at these Speeds. http://cavalcadesuk.bandcamp.com/ http://www.facebook.com/cavalcades - ABSOLUTIST - Dark, heavy crust from Aberdeen. Fresh off a Scandinavian tour and a new record, not to be missed. FFO: His Hero is Gone, Alpinist, Cursed. http://absolutist.bandcamp.com/ http://www.facebook.com/pages/Absolutist/129215777136623 - DRUG COUPLE - Mad as fuck hardcore from Perth, this'll be their second Aberdeen show in as many months and with good reason. Members of The Barents Sea (I know, right?), xharoldshitmanx, My Castle, Your Castle etc. FFO: Trash Talk, Full of Hell, Dangers. http://www.facebook.com/drugcouple - DIRTDRINKER - Heavy as balls local 2-piece that will blow your collective genetalia clean off. Ex/current members of lots of good things (WSBB, Clearer the Sky, Dweller etc). First show! FFO: Pulling Teeth, Converge, Kylesa. http://www.facebook.com/DIRTDRINKER 10 february 2012 £4 door tax
  9. I also have a Commencer guitar pickup lying around somewhere. I'll take 40 for that. Gwaaaaaan.
  10. I only have a 412 cab, a distortion pedal or a carbuncle pickup to offer top swap for. Interested? Heard great things about this amp.
  11. Okay, so the head has gone. I'll take £50 for the cab and £90 for the pedal. Mad bargains. Please buy my stuff so I can buy a new amp.
  12. Please buy this so Moose stops pretending to be that ba' heed boy from Machine Head.
  13. Bump that mo'fucka. ANYBODY WANNA TRADE FOR A FENDER DELUXE? The head has a potential buyer, but the other two are open to offers. I'll trade you them and my left leg for a Fender Deluxe?
  14. Amazzing. I was really into Metropolis Part Whatever Scenes from a Memory when I was young. That's a great album. It's pretty cheesey though. Sounds like good fun to play, if I were any good at music.
  15. Yes, and not really. Average head weight. Smaller in size though.
  16. Repost of a previous, but though I'd just make a new thread. This set-up is just taking up hunners of room in my house, more specifically my parent's dining room, and that's not really on. I'd love to downsize to a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe or something, but we'll see what the crack is. Sound City 50 Plus: 50 watt vintage guitar amp head. Bought off Ebay 2-3 years ago. Was in a bit of a state on the inside and out back then but took it down to Doctor Dennis Marshall who worked his magic. Got some EH valves in it from RnB. They're not the best, but they do the job. Still a bit of a tatty exterior. No frills. Active EQ. Looking for £150 ono. Marshall AVT 412 Cab: What it says on the tin. The best thing to ever come out of the quite frankly horrific AVT series Marshall produced. 200W max cab (probably handle anything you throw at it). In good nick. Looking for £60 ono. Blackstar HT Dual: Great, tube-powered, dual channel distortion. Channel 1 is clean or crunch. Turn the Clean up full whack and you get a lovely preamp boost. Crunch is dirtier and louder. Sounds great for riffing and stuff. Channels 2 is searing distorion - if I were on guitar world I'd probably describe it as 'lovely saturated tone'. The best thing about this pedal is it's reaction to the way you play and how hard you push it - just like a real tube amp. It really works with your guitar's volume and tone controls and how hard you're playing. Something on this pedal will work in any musical genre. Looking for £100 ono. I realise the prices (especially for the first two) are pretty optimistic, but I will consider offers. Espcially if they're to be sold together. If you fancy them just send me a PM (and post that fact in the thread). I don't visit here too often anymore, but I'll try and mems I posted this. THANKS.
  17. Make That A Take Records have included a song of ours on their latest comp. Name Your Price, but please give if you can as Deeker does several great things for Scottish DIY/hardcore/punk and even a quid from a few people can go a long way. Make Yer Ane Comp II | makethatatakerecords Recorded in the same session as IFAP;IFAP.
  18. Hopefully all that Radio 1 business will convince people to actually come and see Pensioner this time round. Easily one of the best bands in Scotland just now and Yearlings has a definite foothold in my albums of 2011. So good.
  19. I like this song and for me more accessible than the last set of demos. The production is pretty crisp. I still think A Single Truth is the best song you've written (that I've heard) though. Is that the B side? This is spot on.
  20. Hot Club's banter makes me larf, but I can understand why people would hate it - kinda wish they would play more songs over chatting. Nice dudes though in my experience. The newer stuff just doesn't live up to the older stuff to me personally... 'My Little Haunting' is one of my favourite pop tunes. Shipwrecked and sometimesitsbetter... were sad omissions too. Joan of Arc were cool though, I enjoyed them. The Min were tight - vocals were spot on. Last two songs were personal favourites.
