I acheived one of my New Year's resolutions tonight - to play side one of Disgrace To The Corpse Of Sid......... Strobing Goat - This band are great, despite being a technological timebomb waiting to go off. Do they have any recordings? I want one. Weeping Jesus - A pleasant surprise. 10 months ago I found this band to be unwatchable, now they are a very competent outfit, even if the music isn't always my cup of Bovril. Reminded me very much of Phobia in parts, and the Corrupted-esque ending is something that should be expanded on. The drummer is very good, but could really do with two new crash cymbals..... SPD - Thought we played alright, though I'll wait until watching the video highlights. Funny how it was badly attended, yet I enjoyed it more than usual........

I've stuck a bet on England to win the World Cup. My logic as follows: IF THEY DON'T WIN: Then I'll be down to the tune of twenty quid, but at least they won't have won it. It's a popular rumour, but: a) Bloodstock itself is the 29th/30th September, they won't be playing that. b) BOA is in the middle of July, I don't think they'll do that either.

New samples have been released from the forthcoming album, they're very good. No UK tourdate, but they're playing Dublin on the 27th Sep, so looks like I'll be having a birthday piss up in Ireland the day after. Magic!

I have a rule of thumb: never stray from the half time pie and bovril (unless you're at Links Park/Station Park and they've all sold out, natch). Should be a better day overall than Larbert was last time out, even though we'll likely get a fucking horsing......
