  1. What like this? <--- Weeping Jesus
  2. I didn't buy it new, it was my bosses. I'll find out on Saturday if he's there.
  3. I only have - and have ever had - a tortoise. Easiest thing to maintain, ever. And just generally ace!
  4. Are you making a really crappy guitar that you will use until Onion Terror hit the superstardom, then sell it for 70000? I got 50000% too btw.
  5. No point re-stating the ones said already (some of which are easier than others ) So:- Blur (guy on right) 50 Cent (the big coin!) Spoon (the folk that did the OC song (look under the Eagles)) Deep Purple (the building at the back) White Zombie (guy on left) Rooster (pic next to white zombie) Lemonheads (in the fruit)
  6. It was in R&B when I bought it. I think it's about 2001 if I remember what I was told correctly. I am not aware of all of the history of it though *EDIT* Mesa's come with 6L6 stock so it must be second hand yeah. Oh well.

  8. Do you like Cannibal Corpse, Nile, Dimmu Borgir, The Berzerker, Zyklon, Deicide, Slayer and Vader? If that's your sorta stuff, then yes I'd be interested in helping make the heaviest band ever
  9. 17, Cults Academy, stayed in Aberdeen all my life, gigging soon (hopefully), skateboard often and spend too much on musical equipment. That's about it
  10. If only I was part of Weeping Jesus then I'd have a word with the guys and let you know!
  11. I don't 'hate' it, it's just not doing what I personally want it to do. I wanna try something different! For what it does, it achieves it well, but that's not the purpose it's to serve for me!
  12. Well I've used my H&K Warp Factor through it, and I prefer the Mesa's own distortion. I think the fact of the HD147 being readily available and me wanting to offload the Mesa made me plan to jump in too quick. I'm going to try out a couple of amps that I've been interested in for a while. The main one being the amp I was gonna order previously but didn't (I gave the Mesa another chance) and that is the ENGL Powerball. The other I'll try is a Framus Cobra (if I ever find one). From sound clips and stuff I think I'm leaning to the PB - I have a friend who plays in a Slayer tribute band and uses a Powerball, so I can hear how he can get good tones in their stuff. Time will tell though.
  13. Iomega It's not my kinda thing, but it sounded ace for what it was! Very tight guitar sound from that ENGL! Keep it up guys, good show! Weeping Jesus That gig was crushing! So much brutality and energy in those songs! Your Truth sounded better than I've ever heard it! That last song at the end was awesome aswell! Seems to me as if you are enjoying playing alot more than you did last time around! Fucking ace! Band From Unkle I went out to get food when you guys were on so didn't see you, but I'll take Aaron's word for it and say you were ace Moriarti & The Sith I actually enjoyed this! The guitarist with the Randall was so weird! Some of the riffs were pretty cool I thought, but I just couldn't take it seriously! All in all, the night was ace! Really enjoyed myself!
  14. Hey people. I'm selling my Mesa, simply to change to a different amp. I bought it 11 months ago. I have since revalved it with 6L6 valves (it was biased to El34s but I had it biased to 6L6 again). It has been out of my room twice since I purchased it, once to play at a school talent show and once to play at KEF. Other than that, home use only. It's 50 Watt of valve power for those not aware already. Single 12" speaker. Those that are most likely to be genuinely interested will probably know what this amp is all about, for the rest, here's the spec in full:- Full description of the amp It is the one right at the top which I am selling, the all black 1x12 combo. RRP 1695 (note: Mesa Boogie keep their prices constant, no different from place to place), asking for 1000. I also have an 'Amp Mate' Flight Case which will be provided with it If interested, please reply here and/or PM me. Thanks, James
  15. I dunno what to do I have a Mesa Single Rectifier Rect-O-Verb Series II Combo at the moment. I like what I get from it but I'd like to hit tones nearer to - for example - 'God Hates Us All'. I find that I simply can't achieve that with the Mesa. I've also been liking the sorta tones provided by Powerballs, Randalls etc. I have the opportunity to go and play an HD147 (the shop I work at part time has one in stock), but I'm only really there when working so can't really slack off to play What to do?
  16. Alligators DO wear hats. Also it appears that rabbits have hats, especially this sexy number which happens to be a dolphin hat that consumes pancakes...
  17. What a wimp! I've only heard 3 of the songs from this CD, I only like Annihilation By The Hands Of God. The others are 'Enemy Of The State' and 'The End'. Is this CD worth looking into for the rest of it?
  18. When I get gigging, I'll try get a gig sorted with SOM and I'll let you hear my ESP KH-2 Neck Thru into my Mesa, your opinion will soon change. Maybe you won't like it too much, but you'll see that the Peavey doesn't infact kick the shit out of anything Hog, buy an ESP, you know you want to. You can try my KH-2 NT some time and see why!
  19. The last wrestling game I bought was Here Comes The Pain. I think I need to get this, as playing HCTP the other day with mates, I remembered just why I loved it so much!
  20. In the ESP American range - yes you are correct, but the model that Devin uses is actually not a Ron Wood sig. but a normal ESP Tele from the Original Series available to Japan only. Hog: You MUST buy an ESP! I have a Custom Shop Gibson, a one off Moon Explorer, and the ESP rips both to shreds! It plays superbly and the range they have will more than cover you for whatever you desire! If you are interested in buying an ESP, talk to me about it, only one shop locally sells them, and I happen to work there part time and I'm the local ESP Whore To whoever spoke about the cost of a guitar not making much of a difference - Bollocks! You can tell a mile off I think, and if not, you will when you develop a better ear. Cheers guys, James
  21. Gotta be James Hetfield mainly for me. I based my rhythm playing traits around his technique and still harness that style when playing (and writing) lots of rhythm stuff. As far as other guitarists go, it's really broken down into Rhythm and Lead for how each has inspired me and helped add techniques and ideas to my phrasing and playing:- Dimebag - Lead Kirk Hammett - Lead Rob Flynn - Rhythm Michael Ammott - Rhythm Mick Thompson - Rhythm Jeff Hanneman - Lead Pat O Brien - Rhythm
