I was rather shitfaced last night and remember nothing from midway through Statue Of Misery's set until waking at 4 a.m. in Balmedie... (I stay in Culter). So I'm wanting to apologise for things I am not aware of probably having done. For example, if I went TOO nuts in the pit? Or if I gave abuse or whatever. I was wearing a Slayer t-shirt and was apparently given the alias "Drunken Slayer Dude" by some people (I have no idea who!). But yeah, awesome night! Note to self: Beer, Vodka, Gin, Rum, Tequila, Jack Daniels and some green stuff = bad...

Rubbish way to end a night out: Puking people having to be cared for until 2 hours before you have work in the morning. By the time you get home it's not worthwhile going to sleep as you have a bus to get in 30 minutes. Other rubbish way to end a night out: Waking up having consumed raw potatoes (thinking they were apples) earlier when more intoxicated than currently. This causes extreme stomach clearance into the nearest lavvy!

Boogie Single Rectifier and Explorer with EMG 81 and 60 in it... works for me If you need a new amp, don't dare buy one just cos you can afford it at the minute, save up for something worthwhile! Unless you already have a great amount saved up already in which case, try some good amps such as the ENGL Powerball, Framus Cobra, Marshall JCM800 2203, Mesa Rectifiers and so forth. Mesa Mark IV are meant to be good too, never tried one though...

My settings at home are: Treble - 9 Mid - 4 Bass - 8 Gain - 8 Presence - 10 When playing with others it alters to: Treble - 9 Mid - 7 Bass - 4 Gain - 9 Presence - 7 Best idea is to muck around with them until you find something that you ideally want, but as was posted above me, do roughly what was said and you'll be on your way to fulfilling what you desire (hopefully!).

An EQ pedal is great for giving a whole new dimension to your sound. I ordered the MXR KFK-1 Kerry King EQ and it'll work wonders. Try something like the Boss GE-7 and see what you think. As far as for recording, put your EQ like this (roughly) and see what you think... Treble - 7 Mid - 6 Bass - 5 Gain - 9 Presence (if you have it) - 7 I find that gives an awesome sound. Also, your pickups are good for metal so you won't need to worry about them. Though personally I prefer EMG but that's just me. Good luck!
